    yow !

yeah... the usgs has the most of the state in black circles, been watching the news since 8. it's bad...
  3. Cool video, thanks. I think I need to visit this area.
  4. Thanks for staying with this. I'd be interested to see the same pics of both cut and uncut banks after this flood to compare erosion differences.
  5. Keep us informed Ryan. I'll be interested to see how they hold up and function. Eric those suspenders do look comfy!! Having owned several different brands of waders I can honestly say (JMO) the ones made from Goretex seem to be the most confortable and breathable. Can't justify or spend $500 on a pair of waders but the Simms I got on closeout are the most comfortable I've owned.
  6. You can't discount the role of light/clarity. You won't get much synthesis w/out the photo part. The springs with more rainfall sure puts a dent into both the algae and weed production on the Dupe. Not saying there isn't extra nitrogen available...
  7. I'll add props for Jonn's swim jigs! Well made and customizable!
  8. Is that for all the loose line we work out our backlashes
  9. Jim, That's very generous of you and I will take you up on that. I'm in Westmont. Thank you!
  10. So I've been wanting to get a baitcasting rod to pair up w/my Curado e7 for a couple years. The two rods I have were not right. One was too parabolic/not a quick enough tip. The other although a good rod, feels too stiff/won't load up. Really not sure which way to go... I really like the action on my spinning St. Croix 6.6 ML Premier. Seems to have enough backbone for bigger fish but the tip section is fast/light enough to load up with smaller baits yet doesn't feel underpowered throwing a sammy. I imagine in heavy current this rod might be skosh underpowered but my St. Croix MP is too much rod. I guess I'm looking for a goldilocks type rod or as close as I can get. I have some BPS cards and can spend at least $100-150. I like St Croix and Shimano. Anyone have any user feedback? I know what looks good on paper but what does anything actually cast/fish like?
  11. I haven't had any issues hooking fish when fishing slop on that type of hook. It's keeping them on with all the grass... Pretty cool idea. My only concern would be weight. It already weighs 3/4 oz. Push the sides in to let in a little water like they suggest and you could be over an oz. I guess that would be okay if using MH gear for greenies, not so much for that ML stuff most use for brownies.
  12. Are you sure it's a deer Jude??? Cool looking fly.
  13. Anyone have a use for a file cabinet? It's a 2 drawer legal 28 D 18 W 29 H. A little wax needs to be removed from the top. Hate to get rid of it but no room, no garage. $50 obo.
  14. Thanks Ed for setting this up and thanks Tom for hosting! Having had Thai before I tried a dish I usally get and it was great! Nice to see old faces and meet some new faces.
  15. Anyone interested in a snowsuit. I used to use it for ice fishing. It's one of the green refrigerware suits size XL. Older but in excellent condition. Stored inside. $40 obo
  16. Very cool, thanks for sharing! I saw my first nest last year, they are pretty amazing!
  17. I agree! Unless you have a very specific reason for needing a desktop I would go laptop. Micro Center out here by me in Wesmont has some good deals now and again. It is a drive for you NW region guys. You could also look online. Someday I'lll be able to get a Mac laptop...
  18. What an interesting turn this thread has taken. Bet both you guys have some really interesting stories. My only Thai exeprience has been the food which I find to be outstanding! Especially those rice noodles. John Gillo, nice write up and those are some great looking kitties! What I find to be crazy is when a 4-6 inch smallmouth hits my 3-4 lure... and gets hooked. Jonn Graham, I remember reading about that outing, looked like a great time was had! I think I might have visited that bridge last summer...
  19. A midnight showing of Deliverance?
  20. Dang... I'll be doing the dad/scout thing with the kids. Enjoy!
  21. For the low, low price of... and available where? Assume sale proceeds go to help restore the river or something along those lines... Thanks for the listings Eric. I have AT&T and found the channel on there (56). Hopefully it's rebroadcast.
