  9. the last rockpile was completed today. john ,eugene, stan, mitch, larry and mike were there. slsc also drained the one rearing pond which returned 3700 4 inch lm bass . the 6 acre smallmouth pond has not been used for two summers but was re shaped and re piped this summer. plans are for redear bluegills to be raised next year . richmc
  10. actually the hours change nov 1 park still is open at 6am -10pm rock was delivered this morning

  12. this saturday we are draining the one rearing pond by the road. it has lm bass. also we will drop in by boat our last rockpile. we couldnt get it done thru the ice and the truckload was donated by ISA. i will place 2 4x8sheets of plywood over some 2x4s on my boat . boat will be loaded by a bobcat photos and an article will be done for the bulletin . biologist doesnt want any more rock in the lake as its exploding the perch population stop out help if you can rich

  14. i will miss my first hunting and fishing day event in over 10 years. herricane irma changed my plans to be there. surely our club members can lend a hand for a half a day . rich mc

  19. if the topic is about barbless hooks , they will hook set easier than a barbed hook. so using mono and a barbless hook would be preferred over a barbed hook. i de barb just about all my flies and jigs even some cranks for faster unhooking[ and i fish alot with my grandkid] rich mc
  20. nicemike. the flies dont have much fisherman appeal at first but get them wet and the fibers set back and they look so much better. rich mc
  21. even more material. yarn bee from hobby lobby has a new eyelash yarn called snuggle up. . just a hair over 1/2 inch and shiny makes a great leech jig . it can be cut down for a thinner profile . like most leeches in the water the tail is thicker than the narrow front end . for the fans of ep fibers i took the advise of another tyer who said to pull apart some 4mm macrame cord. once unraveled its a dead ringer for ep fiber i agrre with him now rich mc
