    The weather looks to be perfect for this Saturdays float on the Fox river.There will be a change in the section that we will float,we will be floating the section from Montgomery to Violet Patch Park.     Meet at the State Park concession stand at 4:00pm Saturday July 23rd for an afternoon wade on the Kankakee river. cancelled ! Due to excessive heat.

    cancelled. The forecast for Saturday at 4:00pm is a heat index of 103 F! That is just too hot to be safe. I understand that there are those that made plans to be there and are capable of handling the conditions,I suggest we leave this as a Let's Hook Up get together for them. We will shift the Chicago region outing to the water willow planting event at glenwood park on July 30th I regret any inconvenience,but I am not willing to put anyone's life at risk Ed Buric

    Thanks for getting this started John,it turned out to be a very successful outing,I just wish we could get this good of a turnout for a regularly scheduled outing.All in all it was a very enjoyable evening for everyone there. Even I caught fish despite forgetting my waders
