    every time I return from wading I always-always- wash both my waders and felt soled shoes in soapy water and thoroly let them dry.I do this more for the benefit of my equipment than conservation reasons.I guess I have to ask,Is this good enough to sterilize them. If not I will consider new wading shoes.

    I had a similar experience several years ago along the apple river although it was November and I was deer hunting at the time.I was on a stand along the river when a military type helicopter came roaring down the river valley.You are right about the noise that thing made,it sure rattled my cage.I later saw a game warden,and asked if they were using a 'copter and he said no they were not Ed B

    Mike I would like very much to be there sat. to help out in any way that I can.However in as much as I still am not able to drive I would need a ride to get there.I am located in Darien near 75th and cass.I can arrange a ride home if need be. Ed B

    Federal funds are granted to the states on the basis of the number of registered watercraft in each state. When I learned that I didn't mind registering my canoe as much. Ed Buric

    I just spent 4 days in the woods along the apple river, turkey hunting,smallmouth fishing and morel mushroom hunting.Score- turkey-0 smallmouth-many-morels-0.All in all it was a very good trip. The smallies mostly wanted rapalas and senkos.
