    Since our April meeting has been so sadly cancelled I am proposing an impromptu gathering this Thursday evening.This will be an all inclusive gathering for an end of meeting season get together. We will join in with the bass buggers to honor Don LaBrose, discuss the coming fishing outings and just plain socialize with an adult beverage or two. I will make arrangements at Pappa Pasero's Pizza for a space Thursday, April 19th at 7:00pm.     cancelled ====================================================================== It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you of the passing of our good friend Don LaBrose, Fisheries Biologist for the Forest Preserve of DuPage County. Don died doing what he loved most. He was busy stocking at the Blackwell Forest Preserve at 7:15 this morning when he suffered an apparent heart attack. No other details are available now.     Don Labrose will give a presentation on the work being done on the west branch of the DuPage river both present and future.If you fish the DuPage river at all you won't want to miss this meeting.     On Tuesday, April 17th Don LaBrose will us give a presentation on the work being done on the Du Page river.If you fish the Du Page river or plan on fishing it in the future you really should make this meeting. This is the final meeting of the 2012 Winter season. Next month we will begin our Summer outing schedule with a fishing outing on the Fox river with Eugene Collins at the Glenwood forest preserve in Batavia.See the calendar for the details.

    12 members listened to Capt. Adduci give a presentation on smallmouth fishing on the Kankakee river along with some insights into smallmouth fishing in Southern lake Michigan from his perspective.We also had a fun filled and profitable raffle thanks to the generosity of those attending. I only regret that we did not have a better attendance to take advantage of such a quality speaker as captain Austin Auddci Ed B

    Thanks Mike With this highly unusual warm weather we are having it should be interesting to hear what Austin has to say about the effect it has had on the fish so far this spring. Also don't forget to clean out the old plastics from your tackle box and turn them in to be recycled. Ed B

    Jim Some great advice here so far.Also on March 24th at Bass Pro Shops in Bolingbrook we are going to have Austin Adduci as our guest speaker.Austin is a very knowledgeable guide on both Lake Michigan and the Kankakee river. He is also well versed in fly fishing and tying. Ed Buric
