  1. As you can see, we have new, a different looking forum. The software that we had been using was obsolete and no longer supported by the hosting company so we had to do an upgrade. As of right now, none of us has any ideas what changes we will find but we will find out together. Another note, you can now upload photos again.
  2. The last 2 issues of the newsletter contained an article telling everyone about the changes to the newsletter. We sent out emails to everyone to be sure we had up to date email address and we asked everyone who did NOT get the emails to contact us. Most everyone complied so the data base is almost up to date. So far, it appears we have about the same amount of issues we have when the post office failed to deliver the hard copy. For the time being, we will be alternating between the e-version and the hard copy. The next issue, due out in February, will be mailed. Thanks everyone for your understanding.
  3. According to Constant Contact, they sent one to you.
  4. Mike and Mike your info has been updated again on the Constant Contact data base. I don't know why you guys did not get the email.
  5. If we have your correct email address, it's already in your inbox.
  6. I can't vouch for the quality, but Cabela's has one on sale right now. http://www.cabelas.com/product/bargain-cave/new-this-week/boating-fishing/pc/105591780/c/105633180/sc/105638580/loon-outdoors-uv-power-lamp/744517.uts?slotId=11
  7. Don't thank me. I was just a worker bee. John did all the heavy lifting. I just sat there and took money from people. I hope all the fly fishermen in the area appreciate all the work John did putting this event on. I dont even fly fish but I understand what it takes to do this so I had to be there to help in any way that I could. Thanks John.
  8. I sent Karen Prange, the owner of the Tinkers Dam cabin a copy of the newsletter that contained the recap of this years trip. Today, I got a response. Hi Scott, Thanks for sending us your magazine with the write up about the Menominee River and Tinker's Dam. It made our day to see the article, it was great to read how much you and the group enjoy spending time up north on the river. See you next year! Greg.
  9. Tim Landwehr spoke at the Blowout in 2010. He is the owner of Tightlines Fly Fishing out of DePere Wisconsin. Tim and his Tightline guides can be seen daily, fishing from drift boats on the Menominee and other Wisconsin rivers.
  10. We could meet sometime. Any chance you’re coming to the Blowout?
  11. The Blowout is March 3rd. I can take any donations anytime between now an then. Thanks for thinking about us. I hope you are doing well.
  12. You are still on the mailing list. If you didn't get the last issue, it's because your post office did not deliver it. I'm sure if you send Ed B your address, he'll mail you one.
  13. We had a good turnout last night. A very enjoyable evening with great food and friends. I cant wait for our next get together. Thanks Tom for the appetizers, dessert, and your hospitality.
  14. If the email address you used when you registered is not the email address you are currently using, the notifications will go to the wrong mailbox. Also, if it is wrong, you won't get the next newsletter either.
  15. I'm bringing my pontoon. They work very well even in low water. One of the great things is that when you are in shallow water, you can just put your feet down, and hold yourself in place, or stand up to fish. Very, very stable.
  16. I've got an inverter I can let you try. You'd just have to get a cigarette lighter cable to connect to your battery.
  17. Years ago, I used to do a lot of fly-in trips to Canada where I was always targeting northerns. Early on, I bought a cut proof glove to handle pike (I don't think fish grips existed then). The glove, did work, but it was a always a pain to use. You have to find it, then put it on while trying to fight the pike. I gave up on it quickly. Since then, even if I had a net, I grab them by the back of the head, over or just behind the gills. I recommend using this grip to hold them still while grabbing the fish with a fish grip.
  18. I've got a bunch of pictures of Kevin D, Don Z, Norm, Dan, Ken and his daughter, Lauren. I'll send them to you.
  19. Returning fishermen from this year are rapidly filling in the schedule. We are halfway filled already. Like before, I'll update the schedule above as the days fill in.
