SCHEDULE CHANGES NEW OPENINGS! As often happens, due to life happenings, we have some changes to the schedule. There are now 3 openings. 2 openings for the second half of the first week; Arriving Tuesday the 15th for 4 nights leaving Saturday the 19th. And 1 opening; Arriving Saturday, August 19th for 3 nights, leaving on Tuesday the 22nd The cost per night will be $30 per person. Non-refundable deposits will be $60 (or more if you like). Reservations will be on a first come first served basis with consideration given to those who made it to this year's trip. If the demand is there, I'll try to extend the trip as needed. Final payment will be due on June 3. If for any reason you have to back out, (like for surgery!) Every effort will be made to find a replacement for you. As long as you are fishing the Menominee, you only need one or the other, not both.

Kip Olson is not going to be able to make the trip. Since he has already paid for the 3 days he reserved, arriving Saturday the 20th and leaving on Tuesday the 23rd, he is offering to let anyone who is interested in going, take his days, no charge. Let me know.

I was feeling so much better I was able to attend, chauffeured by my wife Crystal. Sooooo glad to get on my feet and out of the house to meet up with good friends and good food. I didn't think to take any pictures, but I had a very good time. Thanks Ed and all who brought all the great food.

At this point, I'm not progressing as quickly as I was hoping for so it looks like I'm going to miss one of my favorite events. Have fun everybody!

You are killing me Bill! That area is just up the road from the cabin. Really unhappy that I can't make it. Good luck to hose that are going. There will be a paper map in the cabin that will show all the boat ramp areas of the entire river from the Wisconsin side. Norm Perkins is going to try and get extra copies for everyone. Plus, there is wifi so there will be internet access. You can get local maps to see at the county parks web sites.

Ok. There are a couple of other changes, but that night is still open. In the next day or two, I'll post an updated calendar.

It's great they are teaching kids to fish. I think turning it into a competitive sport for these children is a shame.

Basically, no twitches. I swam it slowly or slowly dragged it along the bottom. I'm sure there are times when twitching it is the most effective.

Paul Trybul Sr. was with me on my trip. After I was doing very well on the Ned rig, we went to town so he could get some. The tackle store we were at was selling the mushroom jigs for outrageous prices and did not carry the Z Man TRD, so he bought some 1/16oz jigs with a decent sized hook and some 3" Yum Dingers. The next morning, he outfished me with that set up so I know nearly anything similar will work just fine. He did have to fiddle with the bait that kept sliding down and the Yum Dingers did not last as long, but they caught fish.
