For the month of January we will again get together for a casual breakfast at Harners Bakery and Restaurant. Meet at Harners Bakery and Restaurant 10 West State St North Aurora at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 12th 2013. There we will have a casual breakfast while overlooking the Fox River on a winter's morning. Tom Loo has agreed to host our February meeting at his restaurant , Thai Garden at 225 Golf Road, Schaumburg, IL. on Wednesday Feburary 20th at 7:00pm. This will be a great opportunity to have a dinner meeting in a different venue and to try some of Tom's Thai cuisine. This will also be an opportunity for our more north side members to participate. Captain Austin Adduci will be the featured speaker at our March meeting. The exact date is to be determined depending on the availability of the meeting room at Bass Pro Shops in Bolingbrook. I've put a lot of miles under my canoe and I can honestly say that the bottom flexing has never caused a problem of any kind.

It means that the bottom flexes

My little red canoe is a mohawk solo 14 and I can honestly say that I love it. It does oilcan a bit when it is empty but that is really not a problem at all.

Nice job for a first attempt. You should talk with Corey at the early show,I'm sure he can speed up the learning curve for you.

We caught a few,nothing fantastic but enough to keep it interesting. That said it was a fantastic outing,the weather was perfect,the color was just starting and the company was great. While I didn't get an accurate count on all that participated, I believe there were 10 or 12 that took part on Saturday. I was Eugene's guest in his pond hopper and we had a blast. While the water was a little skinny we got through all right even though we lost the use of the trolling motor early on in the float. I caught 3 including one barely longer than the fly I was using.

Float or wade come on out for what should be some of the best fishing of the year. We will also have some of the best weather of the year. COME ON OUT
