John Loebach Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 Ron Grand has lined up one time access to a private pond for largemouth & bluegill. This outing will start at 8am ( arrive 7:30 or so) & conclude by 11 or 12, followed by lunch ( buy your own)at the owners restaurant at this site. Somewhat limited access so I need to know by pm who is coming confirmed by 6/5 so I can relay location & arrange for seating. Location northwest suburbs, pond good size, good shoreline access, catch & release but the big bluegill should be nesting by then. First 20 to respond are in. Rain date 6/14. RSVP by pm to John L. SKollmann Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 Hey, Ron . . . you came thru! Count me in . . . trust we'll catch more in June than you and I did at The Glen in March. Quote
Norm M Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 Is this fly fishing only? If not Zachary and I are interested in coming. My son Zach is an ISA member. Quote
TimU Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 Is this fly fishing only? If not Zachary and I are interested in coming. My son Zach is an ISA member. If this is Fly Fishing only I will not be attending...fly fishing is for OLD people! Quote
maineman Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 John forgot to mention the catfish and carp. Legend has it that there are some monsters in this lake, so, if the bass and bluegill action is a little slow, you can always get down and dirty. Ron G Quote
Brandon Posted April 1, 2009 Report Posted April 1, 2009 That is a long ways off for me, but I would like to attend if there is room. Is it bank fishing only... or would a pontoon be allowed? Quote
maineman Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 That is a long ways off for me, but I would like to attend if there is room. Is it bank fishing only... or would a pontoon be allowed? Sorry, bank fishing only. Ron G Quote
Mark O'Donnell Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 Hi John, Would like in too. Mark O'Donnell Quote
SKollmann Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 If this is Fly Fishing only I will not be attending...fly fishing is for OLD people! As a fisherman of all persuasions, including fly fishing . . . I do not consider myself OLD as I approach 65 this Fall. In fact, I just landed a position with the U.S. Department of Commerce at my YOUNG age. I and others of my advanced age are considered SEASONED . . like a fine wine! PS. If you still consider me OLD, Tim . . . let's play a set or two of singles tennis. Just in fun, of course! Quote
John Loebach Posted April 2, 2009 Author Report Posted April 2, 2009 Thanks, Ron! Norm, all outings are for all members, come as you are, fish how you choose-nuff said. Quote
kevin summers Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 I would like to attend if there is room... Thanks Kevin Quote
Jim J Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 "let's play a set or two of singles tennis" Can anyone say "drop shot?" Best shot to get old timer's suckin wind. HA Is there an apostrophe in "timers?" Quote
Jim Kast Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Is there an apostrophe in "timers?" Only if you're typing.... HA! Apparently apostrophe's are cheap on your keyboard.... just like period's and exclamation mark's are on mine! Quote
Stuart_Van_Dorn Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 I'll be there, fly rod in hand. Stuart Quote
