Dick G
While some of you were wasting a day watching the Bears play the Packers, the real men were up north beyond the Cheddar Curtain searching for smallmouth.

Steve S.
How did you do? That was in my plans as well but they fell thru last minute. I love football season as it frees up the local waters somewhat with college on Saturday and NFL on Sunday. Vikes vs Pack will create more ghost towns out on the rivers and lakes. Take advantage! ronk
Dick You could've watched the game at home than gone up on Monday and stil havel had the river to yourselves as the results of that game would've kept most Packer fans celebrating in bars til at least mid week
Dick G
It was more searching than catching this time . The scenery was much better than the fishing. We were still there on Monday when the high temperature was 48, with 25 mph winds and a steady rain. We made it home in time to watch Monday Night Football! WILLIAM C.
Here's a few more pictures. Due to poor planning we spent more time driving than fishing trying to explore new access points to some small rivers. We had planned on hitting it hard on Monday but the cold front moved in sooner than expected and we pretty much got rained out. We got a few decent fish but nothing photo worthy.
