  1. I researched this about 10 years ago with many phone calls placed to many people who “could better answer that question” and came to the conclusion that no official of any kind knows anything about stream access laws in the state of Illinois. It’s not worth the hassle.
  2. I have seen no ice on the Kish yet
  3. I just wonder where it all comes from? 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Somebody not doing something right.
  4. We can always use articles for our Bronzeback Bulletin Newsletter. If you would like to submit an article on fishing techniques, adventures or just about anything else preferably pertaining to smallmouth of course, please post your interest in submitting here and one of the ISA Officers will contact you. This is YOUR newsletter. Thanks!
  5. Sunday, September 15th—Kishwaukee River Float Outing. We will meet at the Cherry Valley Café at 9AM for breakfast and to work out shuttle details. We will be close to north, south and main branches of the Kishwaukee River with several options depending on how long of a float you want to do. The Fall is a great time to chase smallmouth as they can get very aggressive feeding when they start to prepare for winter. let us know if you plan to attend so we may plan accordingly.
  6. Scott, please add me for 8/8 - 8/11 also as Mr. Tim is my ride to that gorgeous area.

  8. You should float Cherry Valley to Kish forest preserve. CV to Kish FP is about a 2 1/2 hour float for the tubers. If you were to put in as you mention above, then subtract about 30 to 40 minutes from the 2 1/2 hours.
  9. Fly fishing dudes plan to be at the cafe at 7:30am
  10. Really didn’t effect the levels that much. Saturday looks to be good. Who’s in?

  12. We do have a slight chance of some rain fall beginning Monday night thru Wednesday morning. As it looks now we should be alright as it should be pretty light rainfall if it rains at all. Comment here if you plan to attend.

  18. Looks like there are enough folks interested in this creek to organize a small clean up crew. Any member (or not) can organize a clean up. Decide on a date, time and location, and post the info on the forums and see if you get any bites. Sometimes it’s best to just throw something together while the streams are in good safe condition to get the job done. May not be much notice but it only takes a few to make a difference. Hope to see something come together. Be the change you would like to see. (from Mike Clifford) ~ Terry Dodge ISA Conservation Director
