  1. Damn...looks like a fly guy. I'll bet he could out river dance Terry. Not that I'd want to see that.
  2. Welcome! Darn nice fishing. Looks like you know your way around moving water. I have a feeling we'll be seeing you around.
  3. Good thing you read the article, Terry. Who knows? Someday you may have to handle a bass.

This is never going to go away, is it? Damn internet bullies.

Wow! That was easy! I'm gonna have to start posting some photos! (This was from this fall when I went hawk trapping with some bird banders.)
  6. "Smallmouth Fishing for Idiots"? Sorry Terry...I couldn't resist.
  7. Thanks for all the work you do for the ISA. I can certainly lend a hand/brain to your efforts.
  8. Regarding distance...my float from belvedere to CV was just under 8 miles and took me 7 hours. I had to rush the last couple miles to make sure I got in by dark. I fish faster than most guys I've fished with. I checked the distillery-camp route and its a little bit longer than that. With the varying paces people fish, I'd suggest putting in at Bauman and taking your time. Good luck!
  9. Yes you can still get out and wade, which is much easier in the 12' sit on top. I'll leave two out tomorrow morning, and if you can't make the 12 footer fit , you can take the little one. If all goes according to the Dodge protocol, we will get three inches of rain tonight and it would be a moot point. Fortunately, the forecast and conditions look great, so it should be a stellar weekend!
  10. My sit on top is a 12 footer, but I also have a sit in that is a 10 footer. You are welcome to either one. That would include paddle and PDF. I'm leaving for a golf outing early Friday, so I'll check this in the am and leave a boat on the driveway. 4089 barley ridge trail in cherry valley. (Driveways on moss canyon). I'm on my phone and buzzed so please excuse my poor skills.
  11. I won't be out til Saturday pm if at all. What time are you coming to town Friday? Can you carry a boat? If so I can leave it on my driveway.
  12. Hey Kevin...If you'd rather kayak, you can borrow one of mine. I would have been all over a CV Cafe breakfast, but I'm busy Saturday morning.
  13. I don't plan on camping, but I'll probably join you Saturday for some fishing and campfire BSing.
  14. Well...luckily breakfast was good, cause the fishing wasn't. Bill and Brian and I hit the S. Branch near Kirkland. I took off early after catching one. At that point Brian had caught a few but Bill still smelled skunky. I hope things improved after my departure. (Don't say it, Terry.)
  15. I'm in for breakfast, but not sure if I'll be fishing. Come on Northwesterners. The Kish should finally be in decent shape!
  16. The one tip that really makes a difference is: wait for the line to load. In other words, be sure to pause on the backcast before you bring it forward. Wait for the line to load. I really don't think about it to much now, but sometimes, usually when fatigue starts setting in at the end of the day, my cast starts getting sloppy. I tell myself to PAUSE ON THE BACKCAST and it usually brings me back to form.
  17. Hey Ed...I think Mike's gonna be there.
  18. Yes....the mysterious "fall feedbag" that people go on and on about, that the Kish fish don't seem to be aware of.
  19. Let's not forget the "fall feedbag".
  20. Sad to hear. You will be missed. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication.
  21. That's great! Congrats Dan!
  22. After looking at the gauge I was thinking I'd get some fishing in tomorrow. Thanks for ruining my Father's Day, Terry.
