  1. yea it's a $125,000 fly fishing trip Sort of once every other year kind of thing... I really can't afford that every year.
  2. Going on a 5 day trip. Looking to leave my car around Peru or somewhere around there. Anyone ISA guys around there?
  3. In addition to Randy W winning his, Jonn and I and Randy D and Ron P all have them and love them. That's all I can think of for now but I know Jonn knows a few others downstate that have them. Check the Jackson site for all the videos and features. We have all worked on customizing some aspects whether it's anchor systems, decals (mine looks a little Nascar-ish) or whatever, we can help if you buy one. Buy another brand and your in the wilderness by yourself. HA Jim Jackson Kayak Fishing Team
  4. Nice Thanks for the good report and pics Nice day and a few fish caught and a good breakfast.
  5. Or anyone down there that can help with conservation.
  6. Fred, I have signs. Can I put together a box and mail to you for posting? Mack and Vermillion? Let me know. Thanks
  7. Tim, Scott and Norm, JimB Please e-mail me locations of signs you either put up or know locations about. Scott, I only need the Fox list you had I will add to the Excel data base so we have a more complete list. Every year this is easier because we've covered more ground and it's just replacing or fixing. james6031@aol.com
  8. GREAT DAY! The ISA put up or replaced or fixed a whole bunch of signs on the Kanakaee, DuPage and Fox Rivers today. The South group had 8 us of meet to get signs, posts and directions. I will let others tell what they did but here is my report and pictures. Dick G and I hit the Dupage together and we either put up or replaced or checked on 14 different locations on main river and the West Branch. I have a few more spots to do in Napeville but could use a few people to go up the West Branch and finish up through Winfield. Thanks to TimU for heading this up. Our South group Dick G holds An old one and new one The back of your car on sign posting days We went to a place we both new we had seen a sign a few weeks ago and it was gone. Recovered the pole in the water though.
  9. For those of you who live in the suburbs the author will be discussing and signing his book at Andersons bookshop in naperville on may 9th
  10. Fred I can send you donw some signs and hardware. Could you pick up posts and a post pounder? This can be done any time in the spring and we really could use some conservation help in the Central Region. No signs on the Mack or Vermillion that I've ever seen. Let me know if you or others can help.
  11. The 30th is the ISA sign posting so I won't make it.

    New ride

Very nice. Seat looks very comfortable and I like the rubber grips on the handle.
  13. Longtime ISA member Mark K smoked it again in his second Boston Marathon a few days ago posting a 3:04:01 (7.01 mile) pace! Mark is no 19 year old spring chicken and that is an unbelievably fast time. CONGRATULATIONS! Here is short clip of the finish line. Mark crosses at the 58 second mark in black.
  14. THIS THREAD IS TOTALLY UNFAIR AND BIASED!!!! Continuing to refer to RonK's age, crankiness, stubbornness, etc. is completely uncalled for and I say it should be deleted. (All the other stuff is ok.)

  16. Also... After seeing some of our signs, I think it time to replace ones that are up. The ones still existing are faded badly, usually with bent poles etc. They look old and run down and represent us poorly. Having bright new ones up is a much better representaion of the ISA. That being said, this will take longer with more effort if we are going to do replacements.
  17. Cool to see a celebrity like Ernest Borgnine make it. I think he is new to smallie fishing.

Someone else mentioned the exacto knife... I keep those tiny scissors on hand for nose hairs, ear hair etc. so they handle well for me. I have some extra's if anyone needs a pair. JimK..only a week? Do you know my age?
