  1. Rich may be able to help this weekend Working on day and time
  2. Looks great! Thank you
  3. I also think Tom did a great job on this. Screaming at people like a fool only makes you look like a fool and makes the other party mad. People don't respond well to people who yell at them.
  4. Things move really slow with government and business and courts.
  5. I never heard of that river.
  6. Jonn, Tim, Eric and I have been working with Jackson Kayak and Paddle and Trail developing relationships in order to benefit the ISA and those companies. It's great to see Paddle and Trail come into our area and support organizations such as ours. We have been discussing Blowout support and conservation support like habitat plantings etc. with PT. Last year Jackson donated a Coosa to the Blowout. Here are some updates: Paddle and Trail has offered the ISA a free booth at the upcoming Chicagoland Boat Show. Jonn Graham will be a featured speaker there on Saturday at 3:00 and 4:00. There is also an article about Drew Gregory in today's Sun Times. That article promotes Drew's appearance at the boat show and his upcoming seminar at the Blowout. This really helps us with getting the word out about our organization and our major fundraiser. Here is the link: http://www.suntimes.com/sports/outdoors/9842709-452/kayaker-drew-gregory-defines-cool-water-fishing.html Here is another link mentioning the ISA in the Rockford Star: http://www.rrstar.com/businessrockford/x1266412463/Paddle-and-Trail-hosts-PaddleFest-Pavilion-at-Chicago-show Right now we can't do the booth unless some people step up to hep set up and man the booth for the four days. Jonn and I can help work a bit on Saturday though we're dividing our time between Paddle and Trail and ISA. Please post here if you can volunteer and or if you can head this up. Please also support Paddle and Trail your local canoe/kayak/bike and more company. http://www.paddleandtrail.com/paddle-and-trail-aurora-illinois Thanks.
  7. What if a.guy lives in Alaska? How would you accommodate him?
  8. Deeper or higher flow water. Wade upstream. Don't get pushed into a hole by water behind you. Get held back (water against you) as you walk into a deeper hole. It's easier to back out if things get a bit hairy. Carry a cell phone.
  9. Eric and I will be giving a clinic on kayak and river fishing at Paddle and Trail in Aurora on Thursday Jan 5th. There will be time to check out all the boats at PT. Informal hanging out at 6:00 and the clinic starts at 7:00 pm We will be discussing smallmouth stream fishing, rigging kayak options etc. This is a great chance to ask Eric about all those huge fish he catches. That alone is worth the trip! There will a give a way of 5 free tickets to the Chicagoland Boat Show. At that show you'll be able to get in a lake and try any boat you've been checking out. http://www.paddleandtrail.com/calendar Blowout speaker Drew Gregory along with Jonn Graham will be giving similar seminars at the Boat Show on Saturday Jan 14th.
  10. Fly rod division? Ha As I said.... Boundaries are being discussed, flyrod division is not. Bart, love to give you an early Christmas gift but I got hit on the head a while back ( I'm married) and I'm suffering from amnesia ...
  11. Yes a portion but enough to fish. Boundaries were set last year but are being discussed for this year. Tournament won't be won there anyway.
  12. Last year's boundary included the Dupage.
  13. Hi, I know Jonn and I are interested in participating. I can't get your email link to work. Looks like the trail may move to being hosted out of of the Aurora location?

    Eric

Wanted to let everyone know that Eric is the newest member of the Jackson Kayak Fishing team. A great guy to get on it. Read it here: http://jacksonkayak.com/team-jk/kayak-fishing-team/eric-schaaf/ This year Eric will be fishing out of Jackson's newest model, the "Cuda"
  17. Also, I agree that Jeff's stuff is good.
  18. yea, Coosa's are way more comfortable. The Cadillac of kayak seats... HA
  19. If we did we'd have to kill you.
  20. Jonn called me to tell me the new In-Fisherman has a smallmouth article by Steve Quinn. Jonn said in the article, Steve spends two paragraphs talking about the ISA and it's fishermen and more importantly the great work the ISA is doing in conservation. That was really nice of him. Great recognition in a national publication. Kudos to Scott who first opened the dialogue (a long time back) between the ISA and the In-Fisherman staff. That relationship has benefited the ISA well. Matt Straw was the biggest draw we ever had at the Blowout and their staff has hooked us up with major manufacturers who have donated to the Blowout. If someone has the mag, they should write the paragraphs in here for all to see.
