    Hey!

Hey Terry, I picked mine up before you today . Did you have a little trouble locating the accessory bag? I did. Had to call Rick and ask where it was. It was stuffed in the middle of the hull. I'm thinking about getting out on the Rock next weekend depending on the weather.
  6. Great event! My son Daniel and I had a very good time. He was super excited to win the Estwing axes. I also walked away with the one item I wanted, the William Joseph Confluence chestpack. The speakers, food, and company were all great. Thanks to all of you who worked so hard to plan and execute the Blowout. You guys did a great job once again.

When did it come in? Did it get shipped to your house or did you pick it up at the store? Still waiting to hear if mine is in.
  8. Mike, it was a half and half aka The Terminator. Half Clouser and Half Kreh. He didn't use any feathers. Instead he used some big fly hair. Bob wanted to point out Lefty is in the rear... Ha! Funny guy. You can buy the musky/pike fly http://www.clouserflyfishing.com/bigfiteclhaa.html Not sure I will be showing anyone how to tie any flies anytime soon. That's what you, Rich, and Jude are for. I'm just a student not a teacher.
  9. I just wanted to pass along the info for an event that DRiFT is having. I would attend but it's too far of a drive for me on a week night. http://driftorg.com/clouser/
  10. Attended the Woodstock Expo for the first time today. It seemed like a good show. I like the format and the overall atmosphere was nice. I was told last year they had more vendors. I liked the fly fishing aspect. It seemed like there were DRiFT guys everywhere. I helped out at the Paddle and Trail booth for a few hours. Then I got a real treat when I was able to get together with Bob Clouser and a dozen or so other guys to tie some flies and have some beer and pizza. Bob was a very good teacher and shared several entertaining stories. Definately an experience I'll never forget. He showed us the right way to tie the clouser minnow and an awesome musky fly that he created with Lefty Kreh. It was basically a combination of the clouser and deceiver. A very large yet extremely light weight fly. Very cool.
  11. Hi Sam, glad you're checking out the ISA. Man, smallmouth by day and flatheads by night...when do you sleep? Ha! Twins...that sounds busy. I have five kids but no doubles or triples. Guess I'm just a base hitter Happy birthday to your twins.
  12. Mike, I was told by Paddle and Trail that Jackson doesn't keep an inventory of boats. They make them as they are ordered by retailers. It typically takes 3-5 weeks to get the boat. I do know that Paddle and Trail in Loves Park put in an order last week for 25 to 30 boats. I'm not sure if all those were ordered for specific customers or if they ordered extra to keep on hand. Come check out the Woodstock Expo. this weekend. Paddle and Trail will be there and may have a special show price for Coosa's.
  13. Got mine the other day. Bringing one of my sons with me this time. He is excited about it.
  14. There is a petition you can sign on www.WhiteHouse.gov to help get the Susquehanna an the impaired waterway list.
  15. Just wanted to pass on this video. Sounds like a they have a deadline at the end of the month to get the lower Susquehanna on the Impared Waterway list. Catch rates are down to 20-30% of what they use to be.
  16. I attended Rosemont last year. It was good. This year I went to Schaumburg. It was better. It was nice to go to an Expo that was geared primarily toward fishermen. That's the main reason I attend these things. I don't hunt and I don't need an RV. As far as attendance this year the Schaumburg show was new so it may have drawn people for that reason alone. They may have done a better job advertising.
  17. I have a meeting to be at tomorrow morning so I won't be there.
  18. What the heck? Didn't think we would have issues with this again. Kilbuck was looking nice this year.
  19. Thanks Terry.....now I have to go puke! Our battalion got band from going after I was in for a couple years. Too many incidents. We got tired of paying off the crooked police down there anyway.
  20. I might be weird but the first thing I noticed was the pertinent info like the river and F.P.'s. Guess I don't use the rails too much. Actually I've never been on a train. Rode a trolley once from San Diego to Tijuana. I don't remember much except I almost missed my flight to Ft. Leonard, MS later that night. That was 15yrs ago and I still can't get the taste of tequila out of my mouth. Marines and Tijuana don't go well together!

All good replies. Just shows everyone has their preferences and opinions. Just make sure you try the boat before you buy. Be patient and find a good deal. A 10' - 12' kayak is all you need for the waters we fish around our region. Storage space is important if you plan on camping or extended trips but for local outings you really don't need take a bunch of crap with you. I'd go Coosa, Ride, or Tarpon. Those would be my top three picks.
  22. I've never had their B&G but I've heard it's very good. Hope I can make it.
