    I got my new hair jigs in the mail today from Jonn Graham. I've been getting ready for ice fishing and have put away my other gear, but I might have to get it out so I can go try these things out.

    I would have attended but I didn't read this post until about 5 mins ago. I was actually at Gander Mt. today from 10:30 - 11:00 getting some new ice fishing gear. Hopefully I can make the Feb. meeting so I can meet some of you guys in person. Keep me posted on a time and location.

    Less Please! You might regret those words when your freedoms are reduced. I'm all for more regualtions to protect the environment from pollution, but making a broad statement like "we need more" government regulation in our lives is foolishness.

    On a positive note, I was on the kilbuck yesterday and it seems like the water staining is not as bad as it was. Nothing likie it was last year or years prior. Most areas I fished had 1 to 2 feet visibility. I did manage to get two smallmouth and a 16" walleye in about a half hour. Keep up the good work Terry

    Thanks Terry. I've been fishing the Kilbuck for the past few years and have noticed a change in the water clarity/quality. Thanks for taking the initiative to get things corrected. I hope your efforts make a difference.

    The tournament was today. There were five individuals and one team. The top two finishes and the team were ISA members Jim Jozwiak (1st place) and John Graham (2nd place). Jim won a Coosa! He caught a 21" SMB. It was a lot of fun. Hopefully next year we can get more participants. I don't think it was publicized as much as it should have been.     Ok, Thanks Paul. How about the Sugar River in Winnebago Co.? Also, what section on the Kishwaukee River seems to be more productive this year? I have floated from Belvedere to the Rock this year but I have not been on the South Branch. I'm wanting to get out this Friday and Saturday.

    Thinking about going to Apple River for te first time Friday. I will be fishing mostly out of my kayak. What are some good areas to fish and what are some reccommended lures? Thanks for your input

    I agree. I've been in a Coosa and couldn't imagine someone tipping it unless it was intentional or some major rapids or object in the water caused it.
