  1. I would say this is a fair estimate. A very nice fish.
  2. That makes a great sculpin imitation. Great looking fly Tom.
  3. I have a very optimistic gut, but messing with a pencil point, my ring finger, and your brothers, in the photo of coarse, I get about 19" to 20". I still prefer my gut feeling. Nice fish no matter what.
  4. My guess is 22". I feel it in my gut.
  5. Agreed. I believe there may be a lesson in economics here also, as I can now only afford to fish with hair and tube jigs.
  6. Through years of observation and experimentation I have found that this law also applies to a fishing lures cost.
  7. The new colors all look great. I am partial to the shad color myself.
  8. That sounds good Rob, though I do want to get that JudeBug down, Funny, I am also a simple man who ties simple flies, but I am always reminded how simple I am
  9. Thanks Rob, neither of us are strong tiers. It will surely be a learning experience. The JudeBug looks to be a challenge.
  10. Rob, a friend and I hope to make the trip down to Bloomington on Sunday. What supplies should we bring?
  11. Thanks Mike. Great info for those seeking a quality rod.

    UV Flies

I correct myself. It is " glow in the dark " I am thinking of especially in ice jigs.. Lots of fluorescence used in lures these days.

    UV Flies

I have seen more of it in soft plastics and jig heads.

    UV Flies

Thanks Tom. I have always had the same thoughts as mike.
  16. I haven't used it alot for smallmouths, but when I have light blue on the back and a white belly worked fine. The same works well for crappie and white bass. Crappie seem to like yellow too.Eric or Jon would be good ones to get smallie info from. A bit of flash is good too.
  17. Cute! I think Terry could compete with even this.
  18. Impressive Mike! It looks like a buzzin', chuggin', gurglen', machine.
  19. That would be a good bet. I used to fish it quite often myself. Nice little stream.
