  1. LOCATION CHANGE The place is called Ojeda's Steak House & Bar. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ojedas-Steak-House-Bar/493003977481397?id=493003977481397&sk=info Tim & Rich, let me know if you understand that the location has been changed. See you there Pat.
  2. Back to the breakfast. So far it looks like Tim and maybe a guest, Jude, maybe rich mc, and then myself. Is that it? Also there is a new greasy spoon that has opened at the corner of Blackhawk Rd. and 251 (11th Street), I forgot that I had wanted to do this thing there. Would you guys be will to go with the changed location, or should I keep it the same? Full breakfast options at the greasy spoon. I won't be tying but will bring material to swap if any of you guys are interested in doing that.
  3. Dear Jonn, If you don't like us up here then just say so. "Baseball sign up", HA! Now if you were to say dogsled sign up I might have believed you. You must really think we're stupid up here in the north. Have you looked outside recently? Wanna run that baseball sign up thing by us again? Baseball sign up, HA! The guy has lost it.
  4. Just you, or are you bringing a Marine Corps platoon along also like you usually do? WOW! That would be so cool! Our rivers are still frozen up here, ya know?
  5. Hey all you NW Region fly guys. Let's meet at the Hearth Rock Cafe again next to the big warm fireplace for some breakfast and smallmouth fly fishing talk. Bring your vise if you would like to tie something and also bring along any kind of tying material you might have an over abundance of and try to make a swap deal. Luckily my swapping material was not in my basement so I'm ready to make a deal. Let me know if you are going. Let's shoot for 9:00am. HearthRock Cafe Address: 1100 11th St, Rockford, IL 61104 Phone:(815) 965-2113 Menu: bensonstone.com
  6. I received a little bag of these flies you guys tied at the Blowout last night. THANKS! You guys are too much. You are what makes the ISA such a great organization to belong to. I can't wait to try these bad boys out. Thanks again.
  7. Dear Bart, Here's your forecast..... March 8, high of 30. Happy now?
  8. If I could take the Kish with me I would. Berst smallmouth river around.
  9. HA! I hate it when that happens to me. Elevators should be outlawed.
  10. The NW Region will be conducting a smallmouth bass fishing seminar entitled "Backyard Bronzeback" at Ken-Rock Community Center in Rockford, IL. Any members wishing to lend a hand to deliver an outstanding seminar to the community contact terrydodge by way of the message board here on the site. Click here for info on the seminar.... http://isakenrockfishing.blogspot.com
  11. I heard from someone today of temps going up soon, so I looked ahead at the extended forecast. Check it out.... (REALLY?) Click the 8-14 forecast http://wx.hamweather.com/?pands=61108
  12. On Feb 8th the NW Region has a fly tying material swap meet. Unfortunately, I had a water main break by my house on Feb 1 that ended up flooding my basement. Things are kind of messed up around the house at the moment so I would like to move this event to our "BassBugger Wannabes" meet on March 8.
  13. The city has been here all day. They are going to get tom my house on Monday and yes they are suppose to compensate. We'll see. Supposedly the city is suppose to be pretty good with compensation in these situations. Let's hope. Sorry again.
  14. Sorry guys but I'm going to have to bail on this. Water main broke near my house and flood my entire basement. Lots lost. Of course this is where my fly tying bench was. Again sorry.
  15. Yes, welcome Allen. I'll take it you were picked up at one of the recent outdoor shows. Glad to see your first Forums post and also that you went to Tom's. Keep participating and you'll really enjoy the ISA. Take all you can get.
  16. Goat? Kind of makes me wonder.....
  17. NW Region Fly Tying 1/25/14 The men tied flies while the women in attendance tied up some hare ribbons. I'm not real sure how they chase the dang rabbits down to tie ribbons onto them but hey....... They probably think what we do is silly.
  18. I use to do that all the time. It's really not all that cold. Not as cold as one might think anyways. After the polar swim I would then jog two miles back to my crib in the city and bang my head up against the wall to Justin Bieber music. Those days are gone, now that I'm older. I still like rocking out to some classic Biebs every now and then. People who practice cold water swimming are about as silly as this post I just made.
  19. Jude gets my goat. What the 'h' 'e' double toothpicks gives him the right to quote the great Stooges?
  20. Norm - Do you really know her? I thought she moved away years ago.
