trying to figure out how to use this .............4 photos' ?
  2. Manny, I have canoed ( and fished ) much of the Menominee. send me a PM or call me 773-505-2469
  3. I floated the Muskegon from Evart to Paris 7-8 years ago. Pretty nice stretch with moderate development in some areas. Good current and rock structure. Caught several smallies including one 19". Couple of walleye too.
  4. People should check and see if they are set up to get notifications when sent PM's. Sent out a few and go no response from some guys. Perhaps they don't check the site very often.......but knowing them, that doesn't seem as likely.
  5. Stopped at Lee's in Elk Grove Village and purchased some cool, fancy-assed Japanese plastics and rigging. Looking forward to trying this stuff on a "border" river up north this weekend. Lee is a helpful guy and knows his stuff.
  6. So the response to my sale of the NuCanoe was massively underwhelming........as in zilch. Can't say I blame ya'll as my review was not pretty. There is a silver lining here however, a couple of things have transpired that now have me much more enthusiastic about this craft. A week ago on Sunday I went to my girlfriends parents house ( they have allowed me to store it in their garage ) to load it on the car for a trip north. As I was pulling it out of the garage, Lynette's 80 year old father says " Hey I was thinking, why don't you try loading it upright ( I was flipping it upside down and then tying to manhandle it on the roof rack ) it might be easier". DOH... Took me 10 seconds to slide it up on the rack, no "alligator wrestling" ! So now it sits upright like some people load kayaks and because it has scupper holes, rain is not an issue. Also, I went to the website and discovered that they had redesigned the seat base. Yay ! Now the base is arched. It is much more stiff and will only flex a tiny bit. Plus, you sit a bit higher which I like. Because it is arched, there is now enough room TO SLIDE A PADDLE UNDERNEATH THE SEAT. Huzzah ! Had to drive to Shawano on my way to Rhinelander because, with the closing of Paddle and Trail, there are NO NuCanoe dealers in Illinois. Fortunately, they had a couple of the seat bases in Shawno. The guy there was nice enough to buy back the old flat seat bases. I picked up a rod holder too. Took it out on the lake and it was a vast improvement. Wanted to take it on the Wisconsin River but it was really high and fast. I think I'll keep it and learn to love it. Somebody could have had a killer deal...................! A Ces't La Vie.
  7. I don't know why the link above will not work............................just go to the website.
  8. Selling mine, paid $1,785.90 which includes 2 Max 360 seats, the transport wheel and a kayak paddle. Some of you may have seen my "review" of this craft. Looks like they addressed one of my concerns. http://www.nucanoe.com/max-360-seats/ Scroll down and check out the new base. I think this thing is best transported in a pickup or trailer..............but if ya car top it, have 2 people. Purchased last May. I will list this else where for $1,200 but for ISA members I'll let it go for a grand.
  9. I like very much.........................

  21. I am willing to accept the scorn that may be heaped on me by my brothers in the ISA, but Eric, ........I rarely measure fish.
  22. come in James Riani, wherever you are !
  23. Still waiting for my brother to measure his finger..................Mike G, I wouldn't say he was holding the fish way towards the camera as his elbows are still bent tho I get your point.
  24. Rob, I did just that and I am waiting for him to tell me the measurement. John, agree about the jaw....which is why I think it's a 20" + fish.
