I was able to help with the shocking of Cedar Creek, a tributary of the Pecatonica, this Thursday for a couple of hours. Met the esteemed Tim Smith. We manned the large dip nets and collected the stunned fish behind the shocking rods carried upstream by the gents from the IDNR. Gathered a fair quantity of suckers, shiners, creek chubs, dace, stonerollers and a couple of other species I can't remember. No smallmouth--but Cedar Creek was pretty.
