The river jumped a little after last nights storms, but should still be fishable. Anybody interested?

We used some on a 3/4oz. jig in the Illinois river during our annual walleye tournament. Didnt need bait until they were all chewed up and falling off the jig. I'll take what you guys dont want... Ron, try them down there. Big white minnow swimming along. Muskie at Shelbyville crush em!

I have been working down in the city for the last couple weeks. A friend calls me up to invite me to do some shore fishing on lake Michigan after work. So Tuesday night i get everything ready. Tools i need for work the next day, some fishing equipment. Start bringing everything out to the truck. Full arms and hands, i put some stuff on the ground UNDER MY BUMPER. I open the tailgate, load some tools. Go back for another hand full, load that into the truck. Neighbor stops by to shoot the bull, couple cold ones start disappearing. Then a couple more cold ones. Starting to get dark by this time, and 4am is only 8 hours away. Neighbor is still talking up a storm about the old days on the "big lake" yada yada yada. Now the cold ones are gone and so is my neighbor. Close up the truck, lock it up and head for the showers. Listen to the game on the radio while i enjoy dinner. Wake up a little later than i planned ( i know why my head hurts). Jump in the truck start the drive into the city. Traffic is moving nicely. Time warp, bang zoom im at the parking garage. Work is a snap of the fingers and its over, time to fish.............. That is when i notice WHERE'S MY TACKLE BOX, WHERE IS MY NEW VEST. D#@n S&^% ..... I have been robbed. But wait why would they only take the tackle, not the tools. DOH!!!!!! Left the tackle under the bumper all night.DOH!!!! Same neighbor was happy to return my tackle and laugh, Oh did he laugh. Morale;Dont forget One final look to make sure you have everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe not tying smallies to cancer...maybe erectile dysfunction...that would get some attention! Half your wifes would be feeding you fish all week This is a result of the government having their own insurance policy. Yea you, voter let us take everthing we can from you. Tax you beyond your means, and tell you you have to have insurance. So you can eat bad fish because we just changed the minimum levels of poison we will allow you to eat. MY OPINION! POLITICIANS NEED TO LIVE WITH WHAT THEY ARE SHOVELING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would be interested in hooking a kid! I mean getting a kid hooked. I mean teaching a kid some basics on catching fish.

Not totally lost to the dark side. I just see a lot of ways i can alter these flies for use with a lite spinning rod. I drag a couple of flyfishers to the cold but bright side. They start pulling me in to the dark side. The force is strong with their numbers. must resist!!!!

Thank you, thank you, thanks! I was a little nervous in the begining but really was welcomed nicely. Thank you John for hosting. Yes I tied a fly.So much info was flying at me some times. It was amazing. So many things i will start practicing. I now think i have another addiction. I can see so many different things i want to learn to tie. This will be a great fill in when the ice isn't safe and the rivers are raging. again thanks, and i'll see you next time

Is that my spiderman combo on the left. I have been looking for that. nice rod holder though. If you want a cheap means to hang the rods from the ceiling. Tie two ropes with equal size loop knots along there lenghts then attach to the ceiling. The more rods you have suspending, the more you will have to attach to the ceiling. I also reccomend if you hang ten rods or more add a tensioner rope so the loop ropes cant spread to far and drop half the rods on my head. Oops, i mean your head.

I have a stake pounder from last year i will bring to blowout. Unless im able to get some signs. I will look at the posts and signs in some of the areas we placed last year, see what we need. Try to have that answer in a couple (3) days if thats cool. Let me know.

That fly just hooked me!!!!!! Is there still room for a newbie to join and Slow everyone down? I now own a vise and that so far is all. But by being around others ( that in my opinion are tying books each) will teach me so much more faster and I will quickly learn what works and what does'nt. what to buy.
