Well,at least i am not late posting this......... DOH! Hopefully the river comes down some.

First off, i would like to say sorry for dropping the ball and not posting on this during the week. We had planned to fish the fox at Glenwood park Saturday 8:00am. http://www.kanefores...View.aspx?ID=24 I stopped by to see what the water levels looked like. All i can say is No way! For those that were there last year for the water willow planting, those plants are under water. So either we postpone this event or move it to a different fishing hole. I was thinking Jericho with some canoes and kayaks. What say you? I will await some input good or bad. So start planning. And dont forget Sunday is Mothers Day!

Dana thanks for running this one even with all that lightning. Ha.......... I had fun today.The moving water was very calming . Didnt put that much effort into it today, so i am grateful to that smallie that told me he was there by pulling the rod 3 or 4 times till he hooked himself. Everyone caught today. Bart took off with Eric for a bit down river. By the smile on Bart's face i am sure they caught a few. I think Dana had numbers. Pat showed up and showed us the flyrod works by picking several smallies off in a hurry. Bart how did you do? Dana, Pat and i finished the day off at Fermi, where i saw Dana put a hurt on a pile of Bass.

Seriouusly, The other thing to do is watch the forums for the "Cast & Compare" If you attend This Event You will be able to try many different brands of rods in different weights as well as different lines from many of the Manufacturers. Plus, the lessons and knowledge you would recieve in that time span (priceless). Plus usally afterward some of us fish. As the weather warms, the events will begin. Also check out the "calendar" things pop up sometimes. Look forward to meeting you at one of the upcoming events.

I do all of the above!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, if i wade to long my back starts acting up. So, i fish from the boat the most. This year i will try to flyfish from the boat. as well as wading.
