maineman
Anyone interested in car-pooling from the NW suburbs to the Burnham Harbor event this Saturday? PM me please. Ed, what is the preferred method/gear/bait combo for this outing? Thanks, Ron
chrisserafin
is there an address for people that aren't familiar with the area?
Ed Buric
If there is an address I don't know what it would be,but if you go to Northerly Island {meigs field] just go as far South as you can.You will be able to see the group when you get close. maineman
Just put Burnham Harbor, Chicago, IL in Google Maps and you'll get it. Ron
Kev-mo
is there an address for people that aren't familiar with the area? Chris You could probably paddle your yak around the harbor.
ronk
Chris You could probably paddle your yak around the harbor. Due to the straight drop from shore down to the water making it difficult to land a decent size fish getting on the water with some kind of craft would be advantageous as well as for other reasons. chrisserafin
Thanks for the responses! Considering weather.com is reporting winds from SW at 18 mph, kayaking might be tough, but I might bring 2 anyway.

I'll be duct taping a net to a broom stick. Five dollars per fish per net job Seriously, if you have longer net bring it.

richard.ferraro@comcast.ne
Thanks guys for organizing the outing. Although I couldn't arrive til later, it was good to chat a bit. Thought you'd have stories for me by that time. Sound's like the previous night's storm spooked the fish, despite otherwise good conditions. RonG and I stayed later, did some walking, and eventually got one each, both about 16 inches. His on a plastic craw, mine on a rapala husky jerk. Good to fish with you Ron. Hope to get out with you guys again soon.......Rick
Chris Meade
I join with Ron in my thanks to Ed and the others who organized the event. Although the smallies were less than cooperative, it got me into a new adventure I might not have tried on my own. Much appreciated. maineman
Ron, Chris brought a coupe kayaks, but nobody got out on the water that I know of, unless, of course, they fell in. RonG
WILLIAM C.
Ron,nice meeting and talking to you and the other members.Remember when I said we were fishing the wrong spot? I talked with my buddy that was going to meet me there,he said he never got the message that I was going for sure.He made it down there a little later and did pretty good fishing the west side of Burnham Harbor. He was fishing plastics tight to the wall. It's to bad I didn't stay and try somewhere else.Maybe next time.
