  1. Our camping spot got cancelled for this weekend due to high water. Can anyone suggest anything 3-4 hours away from the Chicago suburbs for a camping spot near some fishable water? WI possibly? Have fly rod, will travel. Thanks! Chris Serafin
  2. Sorry, I have to bail. Girlfriend wants to float the Fox and camp overnight. No idea how the water will be, but I'm not going to tell her no. I get out every week and weekend, so I'm sure we'll all meet up soon enough.
  3. I somehow have a reminder on my calendar for an ISA tying event at Dupage Fly Company for Tuesday 3/31, but can't find anything on the board or schedule. Have I killed too many brain cells, or am I missing something? Thanks!
  4. I'm in and can help shuttle kayaks with a truck, and I have a spare sit-in kayak if anyone wants to join. It's not that big, FYI. PM me. --Chris
  5. I'll be trying to make it as well. I'll be brining my yak, and I have an extra kayak for someone that isn't too tall (9.5ft yak). Let me know if anyone wants to me to bring it (email is best form of communication for me). I can fit 4 kayaks on the top of my roof if we need to shuttle cars around with my Yakima rack, if needed. 6. As my first year with the ISA and first real year fishing in rivers, I learned ALOT and caught the most smallmouth ever in my life. The boards and outings introduced my to a number of great locations on rivers and lakes, and a number of techniques. Slider heads/grubs, sm cranks, and inline spinners did the trick this year; or were what I used in the rivers. I also took to night time topwater fishing for green carp down the street from me during the summer. All in all, great year, much learned, and planning for next years adventures. Thanks ISA!
  7. I'm planning on going if the conditions are reported good as well. Thinking of bringing the kayak, and can shuffle others around if needed. --Chris
  8. I'm planning on attending, and will be bringing a kayak unless someone has room in a boat.
  9. uuggggh, tough day for me. Zero bites, or visuals of fish being active. I went up and down the willows with a crank (craw and shad types), inline spinners, and topwater Pop-R's....nothing. Long time to wade in the heat with a hangover! Oh well, the river looks good, today was just not my day. Thanks for hosting ISA, Chris
  10. gonna be awfully hot out there tomorrow at 2pm....bring a cooler and at least a hat!
  11. Since these conditions sound bleak, is anyone going to the K3 outing later in the day?
  12. I run a lot of cranks and love my 2 St Croix 6.8 and 7 ft rods. Medium action.
  13. 10am? Do they open the place earlier? I'll be there early!
  14. Great, heading down today to check it out before Sunday as well.
