Dick G
Ed, I hope to be there. It looks like an interesting tour. Do you know if they are looking for any volunteers for assisting with their work in the streams of the area?

Scott Ferguson
Fascinating presentation again. Although, a lot of it Jesse had spoken about before, for me, hearing it again was very helpful to my understanding of stream biology. For anyone who fishes rivers, you should have been there. Ed Buric
It was at 10:0 this morning. We had 16 members show up for a very interesting and informative tour of the Urban Streams Research Center by Jessi DiMartini. We also took this opportunity to discuss what volunteer projects we could be of help with.
Dick G
Here are a few photos from this morning's presentation at the Urban Stream Research Center in Blackwell Forest Preserve. Jessi was kind enough to point out some areas on the DuPage River where some large tagged smallmouth like to hang out. A very informative session. Afterwards, a few ISA members went out to lunch and discussed some future fishing trips and ISA events.

Dick G
Rich, Jessi did drop some scientific terminology on us during her presentation. She mentioned that a, uh, a large load of rock was used to fill the bed of the Dupage River during restoration. She is a real dynamo.
