    I had a great time at the Onion Pub outing. Thanks, Tim for putting it together. What I had expected to be a morning of fishing turned into an entire day! ( thanks to Gene and Mike). After lunch, and two periods of hockey, we hit the Fox. Me being the only guy with waders. I put on a clinic for them of what not to do with a fly rod! I hope there are no pictures... then Gene showed me how to roll cast after he caught 8. He finally let me catch one! Had a great time. Look forward to meeting more club members at future outings.

    I got out couple weeks ago and saw lots of activity. Mainly gar. A pike. Some minnows in the shallows. Was fortunate to have a bronze eat my bug!

    Thanks for posting, great pics and references. It always comes to my mind during significant weather events how little we actually control nature. We can bottle up a river by damming. We can erect great structures to defy gravity. Yet in the end it is the will of God and the natural world that can overtake us in a moment.

    Nice tie! Buggers can be so deadly. It is to the fly rod what a lead head/grub is to a spin rod. A great launching point to a great past time as well.
