Silver Springs State Park in Yorkville (13608 Fox Rd). This is an awesome yearly event! First and foremost, it's FREE!

There are hands-on activities for all ages.

Chicagoland Angling and Casting Demos

Canoe Rides, Fly tying and Casting

Stocked Kid's fishing pond

Outdoor women's seminars

Hunting, Fishing and Dog training seminars

Kid's Casting Area (funded and run by ISA volunteers!)

ISA "Conservation Station" Display Tent ( A NEW Event!)

75+ Vendors

Food Court

Ranges (archery, BB gun, Trap and Bowfishing)

5000 gallon fish tank!

Boy Scout Troop 7 out of Elburn,IL

All you can eat pancake breakfast!

ISA volunteers are needed to help with this event. The Kid's Casting Area is always a fun and rewarding way to spend a few hours.

The ISA "Conservation Station" Display tent will educate folks about rivers with interactive displays for conservation and fishing purposes. The Adopt A Stream program will be on display and new member kits will hopefully encourage folks to join the Alliance.

So, if you like working with kids or think you can help out in the tent, please respond to this post.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

You have the dates right Jim. Not only do we ask for your help, but you have to figure out when and where! ;) The H & F days web site has more details.

It's also on our web site calendar.

While I cannot make a firm commitment at this time to offer my volunteer services for the weekend, if my schedule frees up, I would be most interested in hosting canoe rides for the youth in my 17' Wenonah Spirit II kevlar canoe . . . with or without sponses. Also have very lightweight bent shaft paddles like those used in the Olympics that would demo the ease in which canoes can be paddled. If interested, please advise . . . and I will do my best to shuffle my schedule to accommodate.

Please plan to arrive around 7 a.m. for breakfast and/or set-up.

We have quite a bit more than in previous years.

Thanks again for stepping up everyone!

See you in the morning.

We are still accepting volunteers if anyone can make last minute plans to attend either day.

Just show up, and we'll find you a task.
