JOHN SCHENCK
With the fish mostly near wintering holes and an uptick in temps I’m hoping to see some fisherman reporting this weekend! I have too many family obligations to get out myself but I’d like to live through some of your reports! Be safe out there.

Mark K
My report is that a snowstorm occurring on a Monday morning rush in Chicago is an unholy plague. :-(

mannym
The Vermillion went way up. Hope it comes back down to wading levels. I have some winter flies to drown.

mannym
Yes, wading is out for at least a week. Tie tie tie. Get ready for the next small window.
Bart Durham
Dupe is looking appetizing, with forecast of 40s, low wind and partly sunny tomorrow, not bad for mid December.
Paul Trybul
I caught a handfull of smallmouth bass yesterday, if that gives anyone hope.

Paul Trybul
Back in the day I would make the drive down to Pekin, IL and fish Powerton Lake between Christmas and New Years. It used to be great smallmouth fishing by the warm water discharge but something changed. Does anyone catch smallies out of Powerton anymore? Bart Durham
Paul, haven't heard anything on Powerton but I bet that would be a blast. With a few warm days in a row, and great conditions today, the odds may be good for a winter smallmouth fisherman. Unfortunately, today is out for me as I'm going to Bears-Packers game to see if Bears can clinch the division!.
