If you have ever wanted to fish the Kishwakee River then you don't want to miss this event.

The NW & Chicago Regions invites you to come to a joint event to celebrate the 2013 season.

We will meet at Blackhawk Springs Forest Preserve in Winnebago County and enjoy an open fire breakfast

and learn the ins and outs of the Kishwaukee River.

This is an "OPEN" event, meaning "Fish As You Wish". At this time of year it's hard to plan for much river

activities due to weather and water levels. "Fish As You Wish" depending on the water levels, whether it would be

bank, wade or float. It's all doable depending on the water levels. Keep an eye on the ISA Forums for updates

on this event and for Kishwaukee River water levels. (http://weather.hamwe...auge/PRYI2.html)

Maps of the Kishwaukee River that show all parks and access areas will be available.

That's the first thing I noticed on this map, but also remember the Illinois Central running that ex CC&P. The Death Star logo of the IC can still be found now and again on that line.

I might be weird but the first thing I noticed was the pertinent info like the river and F.P.'s. Guess I don't use the rails too much. Actually I've never been on a train. Rode a trolley once from San Diego to Tijuana. I don't remember much except I almost missed my flight to Ft. Leonard, MS later that night. That was 15yrs ago and I still can't get the taste of tequila out of my mouth. Marines and Tijuana don't go well together!

First thing I noticed was that the # 13 is smack dab on my house. Actually, that's the second thing. The first was something about biscuits and gravy.

.....and that would explain your bad luck.

(kind of thinking I'll never post a map picture again. Jeez!)

Tim - When I was in the USMC and stationed in 29 Palms, we were banned from going to Tijuana. Once in Florida I poured tequila on a bowl of cornflakes

because I didn't have any milk. Breakfast of champions.

Thanks Terry.....now I have to go puke! Our battalion got band from going after I was in for a couple years. Too many incidents. We got tired of paying off the crooked police down there anyway.
