  1. Use a hosting site like photobucket, upload the pic to the host and it generates a URL tag for it, paste that tag in to the prompt and hit upload. for example, here's one of me with a smallie from Cinco de Mayo(on a fluke not a Senko though )
  2. I got some of these recently and tried them out on Saturday, I was using 1/4 tungsten with a Sweet Beaver. All three fish that I caught on that set up sliced through the nose of the bait. I think the weightless clips may be good but I'm not sold on the weights yet, too prone to appeasiotomy if you will.

    lakes?

You're not kidding! Brian, if you don't have waders you need to get some!
  4. Michael is totally in tuned to the lower Dupe, I watched him catch a fat 14" smallie(I thought is was at least 15") in 35 degree air temp with 25 MPH winds. Our waders iced up walking back to the truck.

    NEED HELP??????

You should contact the Joan Wulff site, they say that replacement yarn is available. Click me
  6. LOL, and I have a very fat neck!
  7. I run Clousers in 4 and 6 but I keep them really sparse, I don't know why but the have been much more effective for me sparse. Also wooly buggers, I always have black and olive buggers on hand and have both body weighted and bead weighted. I typically tie them with dubbed bodies rather than chenille, just dub a bunch in a dubbing loop and when you fish them make sure you soak them and squeeze out all the trapped air so they get down. I usually stick them in the mud and squeeze to "aquaint" them to the river
  8. Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for!
  9. Does anyone know off the top of their head what it cost to register and title a kayak in Illinois? I know that there is a tax on out of state purchased boats but and that amount is county specific.
  10. I've been covetting those for a while, I just can't justify the expenditure. I've trout fished with a guy that carries a Canon Digital SLR, I'd be way too nervous with one of those.
  11. I learned to tie them winding in opposite directions. They're not that hard to tie, you just have to keep the opening in the middle "available" by pinching it with your thumb and index finger. They get sketchy when you hit small tippet territory like 6 and 7x, I never go under 3x for smallies though.
  12. Glad to help(however briefly I did), working the booth afforded me the opportunity to meet and talk to Kathy Scott. I learned how to make a furled leader and was energized by her. I think I found my next smallie rod too!
  13. I haven't had a problem breaking off 4/15(4lb diameter 15lb test) Power Pro, just tighten it down and point your rig at the snag, hold the spool and walk backwards. Get ready to duck though, if you straighten the hook instead of snapping the line the lure can come screaming back at you!. I have never had PP fail when I did not want to break off, I certainly can't say the same for mono.
  14. I can work Saturday AM but have to be home mid afternoon if you need people.
  15. wow, that's a great tying site! It got my warmwater tying juices flowing again!
  16. I've never found them to be more brittle than other brands but I never bend hooks. I figure that the tempering process renders them fairly brittle but gives them high tinsel stregth. Go to a "conventional" shop and pick up some Mustad 60 degree bend jig hooks, you'll be surprised(pleasantly) by their price! I picked some size 8 up from Ed Shirley's(or were they 6), I still haven't fished any of the flies I tied on those....I really need to get out this year and fish more.
  17. Awesome, nice and close. I haven't been to a meeting forever!
  18. I have but don't too often, typically I will to get a fly down and then run a lighter fly on the end(is that the dropper then?). I don't like it because I had too many foul hooked fish, like they throw the lead and get snagged on the dropper. I typically only do it for trout though. My casting is not good enough to cast multi-rigs frequently, there is a direct proportional relationship to the # of flies over 1 on your rig and the time you spend untangling.
  19. I'm an idiot, I lapsed.... Can I still renew with PayPal?
  20. Wow that's cheap! I have one of these kits at home that I'm going to build(eventually) for my daughter. Maybe she'll get interested. http://www.mailordercentral.com/hookhack/p...?number=BB662BK it's 2 weight kit but I'm told that it casts a 3 weight line better.
