First page of this thread has been updated. I got THREE sets of flies today!! Only two sets left to arrive.

This class solidified my suspicions that I do not have the patience for deer hair poppers! Way too much bourbon would be consumed per fly...... I am glad however that I went because the techniques practiced are definitely applicable to other bugs where deer hair is used! Thanks Cory, and Eric!

More flies arrived yesterday! The first post has been updated with "RECEIVED" next to the names of the flies that I have gotten!

Flies from Mike G arrived. Guys, this is turning out to be a top notch fly swap! Just wait 'til you all get these flies.

Screwy Rabbits arrived yesterday! How is everyone else coming along? Only 11 days until the deadline! I finished up the TeQueely's a few days ago.

I will be there! Going to be working at the Wrigley company in downtown Chicago today so I will go to CFO and pick up some gelspun thread....

I would really like to attend this. I will check with the better half and see if we have any plans I have not been made aware of yet. As of now, put me down to attend!

What is the price for this class?

TeQueely's are done! How are you guys coming along? I thought the weather was breaking....even did some yard casting...but yeah, not so much....

Rich, I have always tied poppers on the 3366.... I use Super Glue Gel and have not had an issue with them slipping. I think the key is to get the cut on the foam deep enough so you can get enough glue inside there to make a good connection. The other important part is a good thread base. Without that foundation, nothing will stick...

I was wondering if anyone had the Kelly Galloup Articulated Streamer DVD that I might be able to borrow? I am in the Chicago area and travel all over the area for work, so meeting up should not be much of an issue. Thanks!

Well, I have finally decided on a fly. I am going to tie the TeQueely! I stopped in at Orvis at Yorktown this week and was talking to Nick. He said that he always keeps this fly with him when fishing for Smallies or even big browns.

Thank you everyone for a great event! I bought the full day guided trip donated by Frontier Anglers TN. I talked to Josh on Sunday and let him know my appreciation for his donation and that I look forward to chasing some smallies with him. The trips/rods/all raffles were top notch. Thanks to all the ISA guys/gals who worked their butts off knocking on doors getting businesses and other members to donate. I took a neighbor, and he was very impressed all around with the event. I am looking forward to the next one, but even more-so I am looking forward to getting on the water! Put me down for a box of donated flies for next year's events.

When has the Mustad 3366 failed you? In my opinion, one of the best hooks ever! The B10S is also a great hook, but a whole lot of flies I tie are on 3366's.

So you all want to do 11 total tiers, you send in 10 flies, and don't get one of your own back? If so, that is fine. We just need one more person?

Alright guys we need three more people to fill this swap up. Did you all see the pictures from the topwater swap? I can honestly say that the talent in that swap was the best of any swap I have participated in! You won't want to miss this one either! Plenty of time left to tie your flies!

This is easily the most professionally set of flies I have received in a swap! Great job everyone.
-Forrest
-
Colt, you are in! Only three spots left.
-Forrest
-
Only FOUR spots remain!
-Forrest

Rob, I figured this would fill up pretty quickly. If it isn't full by Mar1, I will close it off. It is my hope that we can find 5 more people fairly easily!
-Forrest

OK guys, thanks for joining! I have updated the list. I'm still trying to decide what I want to tie. We still have 6 spots open, so who else would like to join?

Alright folks, I have updated the list. Thanks for joining!
