Hello everyone. The Illinois Smallmouth Alliance is in need of three to four volunteers for an event that will be taking place along the Chicago River on October 13th, from 3 to 5 PM. This will be held along the banks of the Chicago River to showcase the river as being a valuable natural resource. The plan is to have as many people fishing along the river as possible. Volunteers are needed to help those who have never fished before. This event is being hosted by the Illinois Environmental Council. There will be a happy hour hosted nearby after the event. We feel that this is a valuable partnership for the ISA as it pertains to conservation. Do you feel like this is something you can help with? Please let us know in the comments below. Scott, it would take a sell of 2 bottles. The bourbon market is on a down-tick right now. It will go back up in the fall. Investment strategies!

Rich, I may or may not still be in the doghouse over that bamboo rod. Or maybe it was the matching Abel that got me in the doghouse. Either way, I just don't bring that purchase up anymore.

Stopped by the kayak shop in Aurora today. Looked at the Jackson Mayfly. Got a quote. Mayfly, car rooftop system with easy side load system, and paddle around $3400 out the door. Now, to convince my wife I "need" this setup...

Good morning everyone. During the officers meeting yesterday it was brought up that we have 1800 followers on our Faecbook page. We feel that we are missing out on reaching out to people who are following the ISA by only posting our events here. Therefore, I have added an event on the Facebook page inviting both members and non-members to our water willow planting next Sunday. Please go to the ISA Facebook page and RSVP if you have Facebook. For those of you who do not have a Facebook page, do not worry. We are still going to be posting all of the events in the events section of this forum. This is simply a way to hopefully reach a larger audience and increase our web presence, which we ultimately hope to result in a larger membership of people who love Smallmouth and conservation!
