  1. 90% in for breakfast, really depends on how Saturday night goes.
  2. Park near where the creek and main river meet. Turn in off the main road and go to your right.
  3. I often think the same thing about the Dupe. I mentioned it to a friend and he said he thinks the people dump the cans because most of them are underage kids and they don't want to get caught with the empties. I guess it's enough to risk getting caught with the full ones. Either way it does really piss me off to see all those cans and bottles. I bet I could fill my 17' canoe in one float.
  4. Much of the Kank is wade-able, but like any river that you are not familiar with, procede with caution. It's a big river with some big volume. Most areas by the park are knee to waist deep. Rock Creek is an easy wade...to a point then it gets a little tough with the rock walls and faster water. With the low water we have now, it's a good time to explore. BTW there is a ISA event there this Sunday the 17th. Oh yea, if you like carp, Rock Creek is full of them.
  5. I am going to make the Kank outing for a few hours, maybe till noon or so.
  6. I got a chance to read mine this morning and it was great. Nice job to those that put it together.
  7. I stopped by around 1:00 and met up with EcicG, Pat and Eugene. Eugene got a smallie on the fly! It was a real monster, I was not sure he was going to land it, but in the end Eugene prevailed!
  8. Nice to meet everyone today, I think all those that fished got into some OK fish. I got one that was maybe 15'' and few small ones...oh yea I managed to foul hook a Drum. Looking forward to fishing with you guys (and gal) again. Thanks again for the fly Eugene.

    Simple Kayak

Nice yak, I am putting together a Pelican on the cheap as well. $199 for a Apex 100 at Meijer and a few bucks for some rod holders. After the Kish outing and seeing how well these guys can move in a yak, I knew I needed one. I have my 17' canoe on that trip and it was fine with myself and ericg in it, but alone it is just too big. I don't know if I would even know the difference between my budget yak and a more costly one at this point in time.
  10. One of the women my wife works with had her jaw broken by one of these while bow fishing.
  11. Well look at that.....I feel dumb now (not like that's out of the norm though).
  12. I am going to try and make it, I'll be wading too. What time are we meeting?
  13. well played sir, well played.
