  1. You need more help than an army of men could provide!
  2. I know one thing..................cold, dirty water is the worst!!!!!!
  3. Ouch!!!!!!!!! Might want to crack out the float n fly jigs again. That is, provided you have clear water........which you probably don't, so I will just shut up now!
  4. Gregg: Put me down for an autographed copy!!!!
  5. Wow! Great trip. I bet the scenery wasn't bad either.
  6. The first small picture is a picture of all three types of jigs we make: Top row - Feather Fall jigs (1/4 oz.) Middle row - Ouchigan Special 1/8 and 1/4 oz. Bottom row - The Papoose (float n fly jig) The second picture is, once again, a photo of the Ochigan Special rigged with a CB Lures trailer. This is a finesse flippin' jig made for smallies. 1/8 and 1/4 oz built on a 2/0 Owner hook. The third photo is a close up of our Feather Fall Jigs. These jigs are hand tied with bucktail underneath and Starflash Silicone skirting on the outside. Great, somewhat bulky, jig that falls slowly to the bottom. We can make these in just about any size and color. This is the jig that Tim Smith has been catching smallies on of late and I have caught numerous big smallies on this particular bait. The fourth picture is the Feather Fall jigs rigged with an appropriate trailer. Right now CB Lures is making the little trailers I prefer. If you have any questions or wish to order, you can reply here, or email me at grahamj@district87.org
  7. Steve: Glad everything is working for you. McCoy is just plain awesome! And the 3rd grip is a must have, IMHO, for any and all wade fishermen. I would love it if you could take a look at Mike's and find some of those wee warts. If anyone would have them, it would be Mike. thanks.
  8. Eric: Just bought some new spinnerbaits yesterday. Guess I better go buy the Jack and Coke.
  9. I have been off all week on spring break. What a spring break from hell!!! It won't stop raining. All of my streams are high and muddy. Been off all week and all I have to show is one small smallmouth from a trib off of the Rock River. Someone, please MAKE IT STOP RAINING!! My health is at stake!
  10. I am looking for the Storm Wee Warts. Just like the Wiggle Warts but smaller. They are not being made anymore by Storm. Anyone have some they want to sell????????????????????? jonn
  11. The jigs that my father in law and I make are now in stock at Strictly Fishing in Plainfield. Both the "Papoose" (float n fly) and "Feather Fall" jigs are both there.
  12. If you are float n fly fishing, nothing needs to be added to the little craft hair jigs. If you add a trailer or minnow it severely limits the natural movements of the hair. That jig I gave you at the blowout would not be a float n fly jig. It would be a jig that you WOULD add a trailer to and fish slowly along the bottom. hope this helps
  13. I plan to head out tomorrow. Armed the jerkbaits and float n fly. Can't wait..............like a kid waiting for christmas.
  14. Strictly Fishing will hold their annual open house tomorrow. Seminars by yours truly, Paul Center, Duane Serck, and some guy from Wisconsin (I forgot his name). If you are not doing anything, stop by and check out this great store! I am sure he will have many deals and some new 2007 baits. Seminars start at 10:00 AM<
  15. Yah, I found that site as well. Only problem is that price is OUTRAGEOUS! It is not a big enough book to be worth $30 for a used copy. I am looking for someone who has one that would like to part with it for maybe $5 to $15. Thanks anyway. Glad you enjoyed the seminar.
  16. OOOps......I posted this in wrong area.
  17. I am a collector of everything smallmouth. I have a fairly impressive collection of smallmouth books, but do not have the book written by Tony Bean and Don Wirth. I did read it years ago but it was a borrowed copy. Can anybody help me out? I would like to purchase a used copy for a fair price.
  18. Mark: I have owned and used both reels - the stradic and sahara. You are dead-on right - the stradics cannot take ANY WATER!!!! Pissed me off. I no longer buy shimano spinning reels. Now, i did own a couple of Saharas and I must say they seemed to be less "touchy" and able to take a little abuse. If there was a shimano spinning reels I had to buy, it would be the Sahara
  19. Oops................sorry Rich M. How could I forget our new ISA csar. Great job at your first blowout.
  20. All: Thoroughly enjoyed the blowout................as usual. To me it went off without a hitch. Many thanks to the following: Jim J. for letting me stay at his house for two nights and for all his work for the club for many many years. Jim brought the club from a small, fledgling organization to one of the biggest groups in the state. Scott F: Thanks for all your work 365 days a year. Without you, this club is in real trouble. Gregg S.: Awesome pins. They look great and it was great and inspiring to see a member go to all the work to achieve his original plan. Set up/tear down crew: I had never been involved with the whole set up process. WOW! Everyone did a wonderful job. Definitely a well-oiled machine. Eric: Thanks for helping me with computer stuff and the time you spent discussing fishing related stuff. Can't wait for the spinnerbait primer this spring/summer. If I forgot anyone else, please accept my apology. Great night..............can't wait for next year.
