SKollmann
Been meaning to ask . . . is there a good website that publishes the current temperatures of lakes and rivers? I was reminded by the May 2nd outing at Shabbona Lake . . . interested in knowing the current lake temperature. That said, I would also like to know temps of other lakes and rivers that we fish. Thanks.
Norm M
Steve, I can't help with a website but will offer an observation. My thermometer broke in February and I haven't replaced it. I can't see were not having one has affected the number of fish I catch.
Paul Trybul
There does seem to be a point when the water temperature reaches about 60 degrees that the bass start hitting plastics better than hard baits. Just an observation that I've made. Nothing beats trial and error and good field testing.
SKollmann
I do have a water thermometer that I alway take along to check the temps of the lake or river. Was hoping to learn of a website that would provide me with current data before departing for a fishing trip.

Scott Ferguson
A few of the USGS water level sites also report on the water temp but I haven't seen a local one that does.
