Rapala
Just ran across an old post praising a rod holder that Jim made. Was just wondering what it was and if there were pictures. I tried doing a search and that didn't go very well.
Jim J
Schad, That wasn't a holder I made, just one I use. It's called the Third Grip and you can find it here: http://www.3rdgrip.com/

It's called the Third Grip and you can find it here: http://www.3rdgrip.com/ From the way that topic was going, I thought it was some type of rod holder in a vehicle. I bought a third grip from Jonn, there pretty handy. Thanks for replying.
ronk
I don't understand why you spinfishing guys need a rod holder. When I both spin and flyfished I sometimes had both with me fully rigged carrying the one I wasn't using by sticking it in back in the wide belt I wore. While the fly outfit was a little tricky the spinning outfit's long handle kept the rod running along my spine securely in place. To avoid getting stuck by the lure just secure it to one of the guides on the tip section above your head. Rapala
He meant that derisive comment for me. I'm surprised you haven't at least tried flyfishing. When I got consumed with it, I told Jonn that he would like it and evidently he does.
