  1. Weird - I live in Lemont IL 60439 and still haven't received mine, I'll post when it comes in.
  2. Smallie Beaver 1/8 ounce slider head, black/blue in stained water, any color in clear water.
  3. Okay - I missed out the 1st sale of Trinity waders, today I see they have Bridgestone for $59.99. Anybody ever try these? Price seems pretty good for a backup pair. Thanks!
  4. Thanks Eric, I looked at those yesterday. They looked very nice, it good to know you like them. And yes, my brother suggested I check them out!
  5. Hey Michael - You know I did, he just picked up a new rod and reel which I like very much. After all these years of being the "duplicate" I thought I would adventure out on my own. Al does his research so it's easy to jump on the bandwagon, I sure hope he grabs some new baits this year, he slacked off a little this year! Thanks for the advice on the 2 piece rod, all my rods are 1 piece. I don't know what it is but I have always been partial to 1 piece.
  6. Thanks, you're the second person that has told me that. I will consider the Avid rod.
  7. I’m in the market for a 7 foot Medium Light spinning rod. I’ve always been a big fan of St. Croix with their Premier Series. One thing I like about St. Croix is the long handle that I can support with my forearm. I’m looking for a rod for around $100 bucks or so. Any suggestions? Let the search begin… THANKS!
  8. I'm planning on getting out for this.
  9. My brother alank did the research and got me hooked, joined and renew on the web.

  12. Here's a great link talking about lightning and protection. http://www.ul.com/consumers/surge.html
  13. I didn't catch it but there once was a 24 inch baby doll in about 2 feet of slack water on the bottom that gave me the creeps, I was hoping for a big rain to wash it away. It stayed there for a least 1 to 2 months and I stayed away! I first noticed it walking over a bridge, thank God I didn't kick it while wading...
  14. That's why we call you - Cool Hand Fluke ~ The K-brothers! Good to see you post!
  15. I used a swimjig for the first time this year and can now say I have caught a smallie on a new bait. I first thought a 1/4 ounce was a little heavy before I used it. I'm used to fishing an 1/8 slider head off the bottom. The 1/4 ounce swimjig from Jonn Graham was the ticket. Jim Kast should have bought stock on these products this winter. I have added many to my collection. It's a great change of pace presentation to add to the collection. Many people refer to them as search baits. Check some other posts as there are many posts on swimjigs.
  16. So Matt - Did you make the Cubs game? Good game if you did...
  17. it took me about 5 tries to finally load
  18. Looks like I can make the restaurant but will not make the trip over to Strictly fishing. I was able to get out of one commitment but not both. I’ll take 50%... I’ll just depend on my bro to pick out some new baits for me to catch fish, it has worked out well in the past!
  19. Don or anyone else - Which road is the parking lot located off. I've never been around this area. I located the area as instructed below. The location of the lake is on south side of Stearns Road between Munger Road and Powis Road, just east of the railroad tracks in the Bartlett, Illinois area. Main north and south State routes are Route 59 to the east and Route 25 to the west. It is about 1.3 miles east of the Pate Phillips State Park. Thanks, John
  20. New date shouldn't be a problem!
  21. Don - Count me in. Pretty sure my bro will come along but I'll check to make sure.
  22. Hey All, I just stopped by Strictly Fishing in Plainfield and he has all the Lucky Craft lures on sale for $9.99. Yes, there are some Sammy 100 left. That's a great deal! He says business has been slow so any support for the local guy is greatly apprecaited. Good luck!
