Mark K
I pond fished a lot this year. One fish started to hit the surface stuff, after considerable trial and error, I came to conclusion that nothing was going to outfish my Boogle Bug. I used the smaller of the two they offer. Gills were hitting the larger one, but missing it. I think other poppers and surface flies worked alos, but that bug was as good as anything and super durable. I tried a lot of other flies, just for the sake of fishing them and nothing seemed to produce as well. this happened pretty regularly. So did this. Rob G
Those BoogleBugs sure look sweet. My friend was using them one evening along side me in my boat but seemed to miss a lot of strikes. Upon closer inspection, I would have hoped for a larger gapped hook, and I agree with Lefty who feels that the point of the hook should be behind the popper body and not directly beneath it. He strongly believes it improves your hook ups with any popper.
