Jonn Graham
While muskie fly fishing is in my immediate future, I broke away from the muskie flies for awhile and have been getting some new smallie streamers ready for the season. Terry Dodge
Really like the two on the left side. What size hook are you using on those?
Jonn Graham
Those on the left are the Bronze Goddess. A pattern by Mike Jacobs. The hook is a TMC 9395 in size 2 or 4...........not for sure which one. Either size would work.
Terry Dodge
I take it those are tied with dumbbell eyes. Just out of curiosity, what size dumbbells do you use. I tend to always go with the large size, more sinkage, more better. Or do you use a variety of sizes? Does the size of the dumbbells depend on the size of the hook used? Sorry for all the questions, these are just things I have always wondered about.
tgoodmanii
The bronze goddess is a great fly. I tied some up last season and had some great results.
Jonn Graham
Terry: If I want to stay on the bottom, I use medium sized lead eyes. Small size on streamers that I am going to strip mid-water column. It also depends on how deep the pool you are fishing is and how much current you have.
