    Not exactly sure what the purple/purple white flower plants are/were.... got there a skosh late and missed the id They are about 3-5 feet tall and and have multiple stalks coming from a central base. They can self pollinate so if you go pull some make sure they are in a bag, otherwise you could just be spreading them further. They were very identifiable, nothing else out there that looked like them. Assume they'll flower for another week or so...

    Assume you are talking about that the little park/canoe launch just before the river off Concord lane. Also since we are potentially pulling 'weeds' I'd suggest brushing up on your poison ivy id skills....it's well established by now.

    I'll echo the not getting in part. It's deeper than it looks. I think those narrower streams just cut deeper. Also made the mistake many years ago of trying to negate something in there by skirting through an inside bend. That's when I developed a very mild case of ptsd to muck after sinking in it up my knees. Seriously, I legit get anxious walking through muck now. I finally stopped sinking with about an inch of chest wader left. Took me probably 20-30 minutes to work my way out.

    Also as I sit here and ponder this issue instead of working.... how exactly can one own a river bottom that's constantly changing? The silt, pebbles, even small chunk rock that was the river bottom when someone bought their river front property is no longer there. Yeah I know I'm splitting hairs but still.... annoyed and venting 🙁

    Echo the above, felt is slippery on mud and grass. Also picks up lots of snow. Studs definitely make a difference.
