  1. If im in town i will try and make a day of it. Love camping got lots of gear but since i have acute sleep apnea i need 120v Ac. I was joking around about getting an inverter and trying to run it off my trolling battery for kicks. We will see.

My CPAP does run on my trolling battery BTW. Have had it in tents before.

  2. I like "The Fish Grip"

plastic, lightweight, works well. I also keep it tied to my kayak while kayaking and clip it to a tree branch to hold position sometimes. Leaving it tied to the kayak anchor trolley rope I can clip a large pike by the lower lip and let go of it, the plastic grip holds it for me.

Haven't tried this device for wading, just for in kayak.

  3. Ben, nice timing on some of those capturing the jump photos.

Eric, I'm glad you liked the stretch I picked out for you. I drove by your truck at 3:30 on my way home and saw you were still out. Was I accurate about the 1st mile and last mile being the most productive on your stretch?

    Absolutely, thanks for the help.

  5. my brother Tim and I had a nice float, we each had a smallie caught at the put-in before even getting the boats in the water. double digits for each of us as well. nothing bigger than 14".

My brother also got two Northerns and I also got a couple rock bass. Tim got most of his fish on a twister, I used Hula, senko, crank. Tried topwater a bit at first but no topwater action.

Thanks to PaulT for showing us the put-in and take out points.

  6. I keep getting license plate mount broken off boat trailer when loading and unloading my boat. Any suggestions for mounting license plate to trailer so won't happen again? I'm told you can't put the plate on side of trailer.

why can't you put it on the side? Thats where mine have always been. Just behind the left side wheel.

  7. I'm fine with a bulky front so I can have a thin back panel on the vest. I don't find the bulky front a problem. main thing is a vest comfortable enough while paddling that you will actually wear it.

I promised my wife I would wear the vest all the time on rivers while kayaking which I feel is a good idea. Don't always wear it on ponds. I prefer a vest designed for paddling comfort rather than one designed to hold lots of fishing lures etc.
