Ed Buric Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 The breakfast meeting at Harners Bakery and Restaurant in North Aurora in February was so successful that we will do it again on April 16th. We will hold a casual breakfast meeting starting at 9:00am on Saturday April 16th at Harners Bakery and Restaurant in North Aurora.Following breakfast we will hopefully be able to get in some fishing in the adjacent Fox river or the nearby forest preserve lakes should conditions warrant. This will a good opportunity to take advantage of this excellent outing should you have missed the February meeting. http://www.harnersbakery.com/ Quote

John Loebach Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 Not going to make this one. Get out after the river levels look good! Quote
Ed Buric Posted April 16, 2011 Author Report Posted April 16, 2011 We had eleven members and guests show up for breakfast and a casual get together on a rainy and cold Saturday morning. There was a lot of talk of fishing in general and some very specific planning of coming trips and outings among those in attendance.Eric's sons Brent and Grant also seemed to have a good time Quote
WILLIAM C. Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Good friends, good food, great to get together.Looking out the restaurant window brought back memories of where I caught my first Illinois smallmouth and many more.Afterward Jason and I spent a couple hours reminising of the three years we fished this river 2 to 3 times a week.We also fished picking up a half dozen smallies 12-14 inches.Called it a day when the sleet started. Jim J Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Cool to see a celebrity like Ernest Borgnine make it. I think he is new to smallie fishing. Quote
