Mike Clifford
I wasn't able to get in contact with Vera Bojic, and received no emails to state otherwise, so despite the difficult conditions this event looks to be taking place as planned. It has been said that high water events present a favorable sampling opportunity regardless, so I hope to see a good showing. See you at the interpretive center at the park entrance at 9 a.m. for the classroom portion.
maineman
Hi, Mike. I just drove back to Palatine from Champaign. Just south of Kankakee we drove through HEAVY rains. The Kank was crankin' and high. You may want to bring some scuba gear with you. Ron
Norm M
Mike, I scouted several cricks and intermittent flows while I was out today[hey, I was already wet] and have some backups if need be. Last I heard from Vera either Wednesday or Thursday, it was still on.
