i don't know about the cats but any small dark bassbug will do for carp working the surface for berries.

Purple chenille wrapped into egg-like shape on a mid-length size 6 hook. Use a feather stem for the stem, color stem with chartreuse marker or use one from hackle dyed chartreuse already.
