goldie fly

ill be tying the goldie fly at the northwest region meeting. its an easy tie mostly made of flashabou. there are many variations on the internet. its very popular out east, in iowa and down south . it was originally tied for trout but catches all fish. has anyone used them, heard of them? rich mc

for those that saw me tye the goldie. i was using a big batch of tinsel from a big box store i tried the fly out today and that stuff is too stiff time to use regular flashabou or braided mylar rich mc

Do they sell everything in big batches at the big box store?

thanks for the tip Rich. Sometimes stiff is good even in flies. I would not toss the big batch yet.
