Michael,
Joseph from One More Cast gave a presentation and demo on wader care and repair at an ISA meet some long time ago. Really wish I took notes rather than rely on my memory.
If I'm not mistaken, to find the leak areas, he had the waders turned inside out and then sprayed the alcohol or alcohol / water mixture from a spray bottle onto the inside wader fabric. The areas that turned dark indicated the leak areas. I think he would then rub some aqua-seal onto that area. I thought it worked for all breathable type waders, but maybe it was just the gortex ones.
In any case, Joseph has your answers.

I've been using small orthodontist rubber bands the same way you use the parasite clips. They give them away for free if you ask and they keep plastic baits from sliding down the hook.

very clever!.....I'm keeping this in mind and will have to give it a try. Thanks!

Congrats Rich......on measuring, I'm sure if they "pinched" the feet together and slightly out....I'd bet you'd have your "20"

Yesterday I mentioned this post to my wife and later to my sons after their soccer practices last night. Later, while helping with the my oldest son’s homework that evening, he’s scratching his scalp and says, “what is this?” Had to yank one off his scalp…those small curved fishing forceps come in handy. Little bugger’s in an alcohol bath for now till we see how my son feels over the next few days.
Worth mentioning is that he hasn’t been crashing through any forest preserves or down by the river….he’s just been playing in the neighborhood and school soccer fields.
Wife mentioned this morning that she’s been “itchy” all last night just thinking about them.
Thanks for the info link Michael.

Check out the William Joseph Creel. It's also on the sling design; small chest pack up front and a larger storage bag that rides on back. Not sure if One More Cast carries these or not. The Creel is a 2006 and prior year model. You should be able to find some closeout deals. The new 2007 model is called the Equinox, I think. Might be on the pricier side, but well made and a great guarantee.

jude....there is a Manta Ray 10. I believe Liquid Logic came out with it sometime last year.
one day soon I want to get a kayak, and it'll be the Manta Ray 10 or 12

Thanks for posting this again Mark. I had bookmarked the original post by you that appeared on the ISA temp forum and put it on my to-do list. I'm not proud to say I delayed sending out the e-mail letters due to every other thing that happens in life, but after the recent tragedies that occurred I did make the time to send them out.
In addition to the officials listed in the article, I also sent it to Gary Clark, IDNR, Office of Water Resources (gary.clark@illinois.gov) and US Representative Dennis Hastert, as he is from the Yorkville area.
It may seem late already, but who knows. It would be pretty cool to see them change their plan from rebuilding to removal of the dam at this stage.

Nice boat Mark...
Curious as to what size you bought and how long ago?
Seems Liquid Logic has now sold the Manta Ray line to Native Watercraft. One change I've noticed is that they list a Manta Ray 11 (instead of the Manta Ray 10) and have it listed at 10' 10" where before I thought the MR 10 was listed at 10' 2".
