I 2nd Mark K's recommendation on the St Croix Avid. Been using the 6'9" ML XF since last year and it is a nice smallie rod.

It is indeed Mr. Labrose, along with Alan Kwit and his son Colton. I think you were there the year prior John. But with the blizzard you could've been there and I might not have seen you.
It was windy cold that day too.... and it's Alan Henry Kwit for Jim J's detailed records.....On the white-out ride home, my son said he thought it'd be different...that we'd be in a big heated garage or barn and the people would just drive in and we take the trees....

very cool! ...might also be a Sharp-shinned hawk.
Either way, seen one just the other morning for the first time this year banking thru a small grove of crab apple trees. Really cool to see. We always call them Cooper hawks too (my youngest son is named Cooper)
