  1. One of my accounts is across the road from the Fabyan Woods Preserve in Geneva. I took my lunch break in the parking lot the other day and noticed that the yellow Smallmouth sign right next to the boat ramp has been damaged. Who is responsible for installation of new signs? -Forrest
  2. IMHO, there's better juice out there than Pappy....
  3. Jim, I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. I am a total geek when it comes to Bourbon, so thanks for letting me share with you. -Forrest
  4. Gentlemen, your flies are in the mail. Mike G you had a predated prepaid label on your flies for $3.21. Those are dated and not valid, so if you are at the blowout you owe me a beer. Thasks for a great swap everyone! -Forrest
  5. Scott, for the third year in a row I will be donating hand crafted wine made by yours truly. This year, I will step it up and I will donate two baskets, 4 bottles in each basket. Jim and Bart can vouch for my wine should you have questions on quality. -Forrest
  6. Johns flies showed up today! I will try to get these back out to everyone this weekend. Thanks everyone!
  7. John, I didn't see this til now. How should I get your flues? Everyone else, I have yours.
  8. Grider, Gerharz, and Moore, your flies were received! I have spent more time on the road with work recently than I have spent at home. Thanks for being on time guys! -Forrest
  9. Good morning everyone. We have 7 tiers. Everyone still tie up the original amount, and I will divvy the flies out appropriately. This way, even though you will get 2 of some of the flies, it will make it more worth our expenses in shipping. Thanks everyone! -Forrest
  10. Guys, anyone else? We need to close it out.... last call!!
  11. Hello everyone. It was brought to our attention that the Bassbuggers section on the site has been a little quiet lately, so let's do a swap! Let's take the first 12 people to sign up. Respond with your name and the panfish/crappie fly you intend to tie in this thread. I will update the original post as the slots fill up. Please turn in 13 flies. We will take the leftovers and make two boxes for the Blowout auction. You will NOT get one of your own flies back. Please turn in flies by January 31st by mailing them to my home at 4023 Hunt Club Dr. Oswego IL 60543. Please mail your flies in a crush proof container (altoids tins work well) along with enough money for return postage and a pre-addressed envelope. Usually $3 is enough to cover postage. 1. 12. I will play! I have ran alot of these over the years. Rob, you want to run it or would you like me to set it up? -Forrest
  13. I am going to be volunteering at FOBAB (Festival of Barrel Aged Beers) in the City on Saturday from 9 to 6, then I will be attending the event as a consumer from 6-??. I doubt that I will make it to the Early Show this year, but if, in the unlikely event that I wake up feeling like a spring chicken I will come hang out and tie some flies. -Forrest
  14. There are some guys in my neighborhood with kids in Boy Scouts that have camped at Jellystone. The kids seem to enjoy it. I have never stayed there since it's 15 minutes from my house.... -Forrest
  15. I have been working on said remote control turtle. I made it 30" in diameter. Unfortunately, all I have been able to attract is the uber elusive common carp in the same size range as the turtle.... Updates to follow. -Forrest
  16. I think the moral of the story is you need to find a 20" soft shell turtle and put your fly in front of the smallie hovering over the top of it!!! -Forrest
  17. Hi everyone. My wife has informed me that she has a paper to write for grad school this weekend and that I am to make myself scarce. So, that leaves me open to attend the picnic! I may bring a neighbor along who is interested in joining if he is available. My garden has been abundant this year. I will bring a couple jars of home made dill pickles. I will also bring a rice and tomato salad. See you all on Saturday! -Forrest
  18. Hey guys and gals. After a long 8 month wait, I have received my bamboo rod from Walter Babb in Sweetwater TN. This is my first bamboo rod, built on a Bill Harms taper, 8' 5wt. When is the next bamboo cast and compare? I am looking forward to participating! -Forrest
  19. Jack is a butthole, but, Booker, Elmer, Col. EH Taylor, Elijah, Parker, and Old Rip are some pretty good "friends".... -Forrest
