Ryan Kral
Hey guys, just putting up a quick pick of this minnow pattern I just tied. I got the idea from the Bart-O Minnow fly, just used a couple different materials I had on hand instead.
Mike G
Good one. Thanks for posting. About how long is it? Hook size?
Ryan Kral
I tied it on a Gamakatsu B10S, size 2. Its about 3 3/4" long. This is a little smaller than the Bart-O Minnow he tied in the Tight lines fly shop video. He ties them big, and I should have used a little more buck tail for the tail to taper it out a little better. Also, I used Baitfish emulator wrapping for the body, where I believe the fly creator uses the newer EP brush. Just using what I had on hand. Rob G
One Sweet lookin' fly, that will do the trick for sure. Let us know if or how bad the material becomes fouled after the first fish and how easy it is to regain it's original shape using those materials. Dana Lee
Super neat fly! The talent of the tyers here amazes me. Almost makes me want to pick up a fly rod. ALMOST! Some day it will happen, just not today.
