Hello, New member from naperville area

Hey everyone!

 

This seems like an awesome forum loaded with plenty of good info as to where someone would find new spots to try and lures to use!

 

I live in the naperville/warrrenville area and fish the dupage river all the time.... I've been fishing spinning gear for quite some time now but I took up fly fishing recently and I'm absolutely hooked. I'm in my waders in the river everyday after work now.

Welcome Paul. That fly fishing stuff is quite addicting. It has happened to many ISA members.

Consider yourself lucky to be able to stand in your river everyday after work. I have not been able

to stand in mine for over two weeks now due to high waters.

The water is high, But its not too bad... Couple spots are to deep and the current is just to strong for wading.

 

I was worried that all the high water and strong current was going to ruin fishing but I learned otherwise when I got out on the water Friday night. If anything the high water helped! I picked up two fish in the 2 pound range at the mouth of a small runoff creek that was flowing into the river and a dozen other small ones in some slack pools.
